" The best way for Americans to know themselves and their history is to walk among the quiet headstones of our graveyards. See the dates and realize how young they were. Read the inscriptions. Feel the cool marble. Imagine. You can know your family that way, but you can know what America is by placing yourself among the remains of the men and now women who died to make her and to defend her."

You have a photo request for Joe Clanton, at Sunnylane Cemetery located in Del City, Oklahoma.
There are several of us that take photos there but we need to know the location of your request.
If you would be so kind at your convenience to call the cemetery 405-677-8384 for the plot location please?
Then add the location to your photo request or submit it using the edit feature to the manager of the memorial.
Then one of us will gladly fulfill your request.
Thanks so much,

|James Coston||RE: Bobby Joe Lewis|
Brends,What was new at the library since I checked on him months ago was 1: a reference to the section in the cemetery which took me right to him & 2: they got a donation of micro-film where I found a reference to his obituary in the Mexia paper (I think that is correct) and I probably passed on it since the cemetery plot location was found.
I couldn't help but notice some of the tombstones in the Section view were adorned with flowers on the top of the markers like his was, relatives ??
I U find any clues that need checking out, let me know and I'll give it a shot.

I have been watching the library for info on his location. Today I checked thru some recently acquired materials and found a paper trail, followed it and there he was.
The request will be filled in a few days.
