I have always strived to create memorials with respect, love and honor for the individuals I have entered and for their families left behind.
Please visit my memorial for Braydon Dewayne Gipson. He died on December 22nd and he spent Christmas with Jesus.
I also added Kevin Keith and Kali Leone. Kali is the granddaughter of my friend Gayle. My friends, Ray & Peggy Pace lost their son, Kelly Lawrence Pace and today, September 11, 2014, is his funeral. Please keep the Pace family in your prayers. I have added Kelly to Friends Special To Me.
I hope you will take a moment and leave them a flower........then they will not be forgotten and will be remembered not only in my heart but in yours too.
Merlin Paul Breaux # 39937941 Bettie; I don't know if you can change this memorial, but here goes. Merlin Paul Breaux is actually buried in the Breaux Cemetery, outside of Sour Lake, Hardin County, beside his wife Margie. I have added him to this cemetery with his Obit. could you delete your memorial in Rosedale cemetery and then let me know and I will transfer him back to you.
Luke LaFleur Memorial Hello Bettie My name is Clovis LaFleur. Luke LaFleur was a brother of my Grandfather, Rev. Robert L. LaFleur of Oakdale, LA. He married Maude Mae Herrin, of Newton County in 1916 in Louisiana. Luke's Father was Clovis L. LaFleur, my Great-Grandfather. My Father had this name and I would be a Junior. Luke's Mother was Hopestell "Hopie" Taylor. I have reviewed a scanned copy of Luke's death certificate on Ancestry.com. I note on your memorial page, his place of death was Legion, Kerr County, Texas. Actually, he died in the Legion Veterans Hospital, located in Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas. I live in Fredericksburg, Texas, 20 miles north of Kerrville and am familiar with the town of Kerrville. Have a number of Stark, Herrin, and Lewis ancestors buried in Newton County. Visited the William Hawley Stark cemetery where myself and cousins found a "Yankee" Civil War Soldier had been buried in his cemetery. We found his name was David Chapin, from Boston, MA. Had a Stone placed at his burial sight provided by Washington. My Great-grandparents, Ed Herrin, and Georgian "Zachary" Herrin are buried in the Herrin Cemetery. For me, what happened to Luke has been a mystery, that has now been solved for me. Knew he had married Carrie Jordan in 1921, but that was about all until today when I learned when and where he died and where he had been buried. Really appreciate your contributions to Find A Grave. I pass along the above for your information and review.
RE: Nolen I was not looking to maintain, just wanted to provide additional family history information for his memorial on behalf of my husband. You are there on site and should continue. Thank you Bettie for adding his memorial.
RE: Nolan Thank you for your kind words, Bettie. My husband Stephen Nolen's grandfather James Ernest Nolen was Myers Nolen's older brother by 20 yrs. The Nolen family was originally from the Navarro, Ellis, and Dallas Counties area. My husband remembers when he was a boy in the 1940s that he was told Myers worked on a ranch in Wyoming as a cowboy.
Sorry Mrs. Bettie but I don't know where Sarah Stark is buried. I tried to = find her on Findagrave but it says there is no record of her. She might hav= e been cremated or no one has posted her. I=C2=A0might have overlooked her = when I read Lewis Chapel cemetery a few years ago. Anyway, wish you luck fi= nding her and hope you have a blessed evening.
