I am retired and live in Jacksonville, FL. In 2004, after I retired, I became interested in genealogy and am researching the following family names: Cain, Hart, Kleiver (or Kleiwer), Clever, Rinard, Stutsman (or Stutzman), Cripe, Replogle, Tihart (or Tiahrt), Pauls/Powell, Stephens (or Stevens), Isaacs, McKinney, and Hutt. I became a contributor to Find-a-Grave in 2007.|
My father was Conley Cain and my mother was Ruby Elizabeth "Ann" Kleiver Cain. My father's parents were Beauford Cain and Mary Jane Stephens Cain, originally of Yellowrock, KY, then of Estancia, NM. Beauford's parents were James McKinney Cain and Sarah Margaret Richardson Kelly. Mary Jane's parents were Vincent W. Stephens and Sarah D. Lynch of Kentucky. Beauford's gggrandfather was John Cain, Sr. of Kentucky and Virginia (b abt 1870) and Susannah McKinney of Kentucky and Virginia. DNA proves that the Cain family originated in County Clare, Ireland.
My mother's parents were Peter Kleiver (formerly Clever) of Prussia (now Poland), and Rose May Hart of Williamston, MI. Rose's father was Samuel Hart of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England, and her mother was Esther Ann Rinard of Elkhart, Indiana. Esther's father was Benjamin Franklin Rinard and her mother was Catharine Stutsman Rinard (Ben's first wife, who died bef 1846). Catharine's parents were John Stutsman and Esther Cripe Stutsman and her maternal grandparents were Daniel Cripe and Barbara Lovina Replogle. Samuel's grandfather was Matthew Hart (b 1763) and Avis Mott Hart (b 1765), both of Bottisham Lode, Cambridgeshire, England. Peter's parents were John (Johann) Clever (Kleiver) and Anna Tiahrt of Prussia. Anna was the daughter of Peter Tiahrt (b abt 1806 in Prussia) and the sister of Maria Tiahrt Ediger Clever, Elizabeth "Lisse" Tiahrt (Pauls) Powell and Peter Tiahrt (b 1827 in Prussia, d 1892 in South Dakota).

Hi, I was wondering how you found out that William F. Cain( memorial # 30814017 )was buried in Gratis Cemetery. He is my Gr.Gr. Grandfather and we visited the Cemetery,(the one in your pictures) but could not find a headstone for him. Did you get Cemetery records? Please let me know. from Sherry

According to his death certificate and obituary he was buried at Hubbard Cem., Park Rapids, MN. It's strange but he's not listed in any of the indexes for this cemetery.
Thanks for creating this memorial!

I sent you an email and received a auto response that you needed a form filled out. I went to the link and it said it had expired.
I am working on photographing the complete historic section of Santa Fe National Cemetery. On reaching your Uncle Leslie, I saw your note about the problems with the memorial. I am sorry someone deleted your work. I have a picture of your uncle's headstone, but in light of your request to leave the memorial alone, I thought I would check with you before adding it. Please let me know.

Do you know to contact (if he's still living) Aaron T. Isaacs? I saw he had information on my third great-grandmother, Margaret Jane Isaacs, the daughter of Susan Bowman and Fielding Isaacs. I am trying to track any information down on her and her husband, James Cornett. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I did not save the photo of Jane Hart but will try to get over to Summit one of these days and look it up again. I'm sure I could read her age in the original photo as it was a much higher resolution. I will send you the info when I get it. I did not get a request from anyone; I just noticed it when I was taking the photo of James Hart and thought it might be of interest to you. In my experience with photographing headstones, folks are not always aware of who else is in the cemetery at the time they are making a request and are, often, interested when made aware.
