James Jackson & Family - Grace Cemetery
Barbara,

I too recently visited Grace Cemetery (Searight) outside of Uniontown, Pa. I Was there on August 10th, 2015 looking for Gosnell family members, three of which I have definative proof of burial at Grace Cemetery. Unfortunately, like the Jackson family memebers you are searching for, there were no markers or headstones for my family either.

Someone is taking care of the cemetery, keeping it mowed & clean of which I was thankful. But... no information or phone number was available anywhere that I could see. The old church that once stood on the property is gone & I have to assume that it has been opened at another location. This I have to research.

If you happen to find anything please let me know. If I find any records or contact information I will pass it along..

Mark

RE: Henry and Catherine Martz
I have added the Martz tomb stones. Unfortunately neither of theirs is legible. I will keep you posted if we can get a new marker placed there.

Henry and Martha Brown
The graves are in front of the headstone by the tree in the picture. There are no headstones for Henry and Martha but there is a headstone on the grave next to theirs for Nellie B. Brown, D: Dec. 14, 1908. She was 19 yrs, 11 months.

RE: Henry and Catherine Martz
Made it back to the cemetery and sad to report the markers for the Stevensons are still readable, but there are none legible that have a Martz name. I am trustee for Monroe Township in Adams County. After years of limited funding, we are starting to tread water on our budget. Replacement markers will be in a propsed 2016 budget. I will keep you informed. I did take close up pictures of all the markers and will post them.

Hoping you are related and can tell me who John's sister-in-law Missouri Berry was - she and Elvira were living with him in 1910 and I can't figure out if she is Grace's sister or married to his brother, or something I can't see. I'm wondering if this is Missouri Jane Wilson who later m. Walter Dusenberry.

There seems to be a problem with this person. She can't be a sister to the others if she was born in 1929. Would you double-check this, please? Also, Sarah McClain Roseberry was supposed to be the dau. of John McClain and Sarah MAPLE, not the dau. of a David McClain.
