If you are interested? I can invite you to my family tree on Ancestry.com. I have the Owen's family going a ways back. I have your great grandfathers siblings as well, with some stories and photos of a few of them. Let me know. You can email me at
lesliearrington@yahoo.com
If you could scan the photo and wedding invitation then email them to me that would be great. Would it be a problem with me using these copies? I have lots on the Arrington side if your interested, with photos of Dr. Alvin Ray Wiley. I however haven't posted all of the photos I have though.
Yes any further info would be great on Mary Elizabeth Owens. I think she had passed away and they never had children. So there estate or very large home was either taken or given to cousins or something like that. I could get the facts from my husband and his brothers. I know that was a sore subject.
Thanks again Leslie

thanks for the info. I do know that was his wife, however I don't have her location of death, I do have her death date however. Do you know where she is buried? Also I think that she divorced A R Wiley before she died? Do you know if she remarried? If you have any info it would be much appreciated. Thanks Leslie | | | jane Mangum

 | RE: VanSickle I seldom go to "find-a-grave" any more and happened to go there this morning and was shocked that a message was posted TODAY!! I have never done any comprehensive research on the Van Sickle Family. John Van Sickle was a prominent Lawyer in the Auburn area. He was from Cayuga NY, and a direct descendant of John Harris, The first white settler in that area. I am very familiar with his mansion on Grover Street in Auburn, which still exists. I played in the back yard of the mansion is a child. Mary Van Sickle Wait was a historian in Auburn the history room in the Seymour Library is named in her honor. I have several books by her on the history of the area and I have her obituary on file. From your message on find-a-grave it appears that you are in Auburn at this time. If you care to talk with me, you may can reach me by phone at 252-9446 or email me at ohhistories@verizon.net. I publish a monthly paper on local history and You can also find the current issue on line at www.ohearnshistories.com
