Hello everyone - I live in Huron County, Ohio, have three living children, and one deceased as a baby (SIDS). I love genealogy and have been doing it for at least 25 years. Barbara Kane Kolanda|
TRANSFERS: With any findagrave memorial that I maintain, if you are a closer relative than I, I will transfer. If I have no connection and you have some connection (even friendship), I will transfer, as long as you do the same, and transfer freely as well.
A cemetery is a history of people - a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
It has been said that every person has three deaths.
The first is the actual physical death, when the spirit leaves the body.
The second is when the body is lowered into the grave, never again to be seen in the flesh.
The third and final death comes much later, when all who knew that person have joined him in the afterlife, and the name, even the existence of that person, vanishes from knowledge.

Thanks, Barb for updating. I am not related. Florence was part of a photo request. They asked for Effie Adams #170402019. There were several "Adams" family members close by and I took photos of their markers and posted them, too.

Photos are free to use.

Hi! Since the Hettel's are my great grandparents, I do have pictures of their gravestones. Maybe it was in regard to my grandmother's little sister who died at 6 yrs. I did post Anna Josephine's grave marker. We came to Ohio practically every year when I was small, since my Dad grew up in Norwalk. Anyway, I have tried to post as many pictures as I can to Find A Grave.

Hi! Since I haven't checked my Find A Grave info page lately, I don't remember if I answered your May message about photos from St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Peru, Ohio. If I didn't, what were you looking for? Let me know if you're still interested. By the way, are you a relative? My family spelling is Hettel.

I just wanted to tell you I love the way you've set up your virtual cemeteries to capture historical context. What an awesome idea!

Yes, you may use my photo with appropriate credit. Do you know anything more about Joseph that I can use to update his birth place and place of death?

Yes, you may use my photos.
|Hope R.||RE: Beers|
Yes, you may use the photos on Ancestry. I'm not related to that family. If I remember correctly, someone requested the photos through a photo request on here. Thank you for asking first.

Barb, I added the info you provided to his memorial.
His obituary didn't contain his rank. Thank you for the information. I try to provide the best photos that I can. John and I graduated together and we did tip a few beers.
