Your tombstone stands among the rest |
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
on polished marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
it is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
one hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
who would have loved you so.
I wonder as you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
and come and visit you.

I have transferred Lemuel's memorial to you. I am happy to transfer any other family members for you if I have them. Let me know if this is the case.

Thank you for the photo postings and so timely at my request.
God Bless You!
|Little Fir||David and Eunice Waters' tombstone photos|
You posted some photos on the memorials of David Waters (#21381926) and his wife Eunice (#21381923) of the stone that marks their grave. At the bottom of the same marker is the name of their daughter, Statira. Under her first name it says she was the wife of Zachariah Colgrove. No memorial was made for her and since I am distantly related, I made a memorial for Statira Colgrove (#90731325). I was wondering if you would mind to please post the same pictures on her memorial as you did on her parents?
Thank you for considering my request.

Walt, I just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for all your beautiful photos on the Corbin family sites starting with the above person & her husband, Henry & his father, Silas Corbin. Please visit their sites on Find A Grave--I have been working alot in the last week linking everyone & adding further info. Your photos are invaluable to researchers. Hi Walt! I saw your note on Sgt John Starkweather on the find a grave page. I don't want to leave a detailed list but all Starkweathers are descendants of Robert Starkweather who immigrated to Roxbury Mass in 1643. I'm a Starkweather and our 9X G grandfather is Chief Massasoit great chief of the Wampanoag Indians, Chief that signed the treaty with the pilgrims for the first Thanksgiving. I have our detailed tree and can find the connection if you want :) Trisha

Hi Walter, they have a stone in Woodlawn-Hamilton, I photo all stones and add all memorials, they are yours to manage now.

Walt, Thanks so much for the beautiful photos of the Stowells & Corbins--I appreciate your time in securing these photos for their sites. I am going through and linking all family members now and putting in other request for members who appear in your photos. You have helped my research greatly on these two families. Richard.
