I spent my childhood visiting weedy cemeteries and going blind squinting at microfiche in libraries, and thought that was normal. I'm now the fortunate heiress to my grandmother and mother's decades of genealogy work on our early Florida/Georgia ancestors. And as we all know, the search never stops, it always just seems to lead somewhere else. Since most of the family were working class farmers, photos were rare. I'm looking for photos of O'Steen relatives. We are also connected to early north Florida pioneer families, like the Hagans, Bennetts, Roberts, Thompsons and Weeks.|

|Alton Christie||Allen O'Steen|
Hi. You left me a message about photos on Allen O'Steens page that are not of him. I went to memorial # 24647315 for the memorial I posted for Allen O'Steen in the Old Bethel Cemetery in Columbia County, Florida. The only photo was of the mass grave marker for those memorialized there that were actually buried at the old cemetery which was destroyed. What photos are you referring to?

I never did get a response on Ancestry photo of Zacharia Randall Roberts born 1806 died 1889. The photo appears a young man in his 30s making the photo taken in 1830s - 40s prior to the date photography was ubiquitous in Florida....Any info you have is greatly appreciated. Zak Roberts is my 5th great Uncle.
