Welcome! Just to let you know, most of my family roots are in Kentucky; so, if related, I am more than happy to transfer the memorial pages I have created. I love to reunite families with their loved ones. If needed, feel free to use the photographs I have posted on Find A Grave for your personal ancestry documentation. If so inclined, you can always give credit for the source.
I stumbled upon the following poem and thought it was so succinct in describing why we do what we do. . .
THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN
Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.
Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.
Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.
Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hallowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.
Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.
Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.
Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

I made the edits you requested, thank you. Can you re-verify Darrell & Glenda's marriage date? Sounds like you are saying that the tombstone shows "Wed Dec. 10 1973". However, the "Ky. Marriage Index 1973-1999" on ancestry.com shows that they were married on Jan. 22, 1974. Thank you - Bill Cheatham (Member #47076759)

Thanks so much for the nice photos of the Dennis Ryan tombstone.
Thank you for trying to find the burial location and stone of William Macy (1790-1853). Due to the fact that he died c30 years before his wife, the Breckenridge County Archivist feels that his stone was probably destroyed.

I'm not sure if I replied correctly. If I'm counting right I am William Sanford's 9th great grandchild...could be 10th...I'm still working on all the paperwork but my great Aunt proved linage through the D.A.R. and now I'm doing my own.

These are my family. Would you mind transferring all the Sanfords in the Jesse Sanford Family Burial Grounds? Thanks for your time!

The map locations confuse me. I probably just need to go down there and wander around.

Hi, Patty! I just came across your CSH cemetery #2, and clicked on the map for it. Is the location correct? The only cemetery I know of for the hospital is the scattered one that is on the grounds of CSH, at the far end near the closed prison. Is this one really up on 441? How interesting! Thanks!

would you please remove the death certificate photo from Robert's' memorial. Thank you. I do not like that type of photo in memorials, however information appreciated for bio area.
