I was born and raised in Clear Creek Township, Huntington County, Indiana. I have been gathering information on the Eckman, Fine, Lahr, Shultz, Sloniker, Whitestine, and Winebrenner families since the early 1980s. My family file currently contains over 23,600 names and continues to grow.|
PHOTO CREDIT: You may use the tombstone photos that I have posted to memorials if you will cite this source statement: "This photo was taken by Find A Grave contributor Indiana Bill who posted it to Find A Grave memorial ##########." To use my tombstone photos without this citation violates U.S. copyright law, Find A Grave guidelines, and misleads others into believing that you were the photographer. Please do not use any of my person or family photos without first asking permission to do so.
TRANSFERS: Transfers will be happily made if they are direct-line relatives--your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. and children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, etc. Please request qualifying transfers by using the memorial's Edit tab and the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link. Your relationship to the person involved must be included in the transfer request. Please do not use a Public Message for a transfer request.
For persons outside the transfer guidelines, please use the Edit tab on their memorial to submit any corrections or additions using the links found there. I will gladly consider adding information to a person's Bio field or Note field if you will send the information using the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link.
FLOWERS: Find A Grave guidelines specifically state that biographic and obituary information should not be included in Flowers. I will gladly add biographic and obituary information if you will send it to me by using the Edit tab and clicking "Suggest any other correction or addition". Please omit the names of living persons when sending biographic or obituary information.
OBITUARIES: Please do not add photos of obituaries to my memorials as it violates Find A Grave guidelines if names of living persons are listed in the obituary. If you send the obituary information to me in typed form using the Edit tab, please note that I will edit out the names of living persons to protect their privacy. In some cases, I may be able to determine if a person listed as a survivor is now deceased, but if I cannot, their name will be edited out. Please include the source of the obituary information.
ADDITIONS & CORRECTIONS: Updating names, dates, places, and parent/spouse links, etc. is now easier than ever under the new edit system. Before sending an edit for any of these items, however, please double-check your research to be sure that the information you are sending is accurate. If you do not have reliable sources that confirm the data, please don't send the edit.
DUPLICATES & CORRECTIONS: I make every effort to avoid duplicating memorials and to provide accurate data in my memorials. If you spot a duplication or an error, please tell me so I can remedy the situation. If you have an error correction for a memorial, simply use the Edit tab on the memorial and choose the appropriate item for entering the correction. If you are notifying me of a duplication, be sure to use the "Suggest any other correction or addition" link under the Edit tab.
PUBLIC MESSAGES: If you send me a public message about a specific memorial, please be sure to include the memorial number in your message.
NOTICE: I'm sorry, but I will not consider updates, corrections, additions, or notice of duplication, etc. from "visitors" who are not members of Find A Grave or are members but are not logged in.

Thanks so much for the offer, I need all the help I can get. Love this site so much already.
Yes that is our Linda that you remember. Thanks for the info how to add her to the site. I think I can handle that.
Talk to you real soon I am sure of it. I will try to do my homework too.

Thanks so much for responding so quickly to my request. I just found this site earlier today and was very excited about it. I have taken the time yet to read all the rules. It is a lot of info. I am excited to show the pic to her sister who lives in Tennessee, my husband and I are in Georgia. The family has not been back to Indiana in a long, long time. Debbies mother, Linda Buchanan, moved her two sisters and brother to Tennessee and Linda remained there until she passed a little over 3 years ago. We had her remains cremated and now just trying to find the best time for us all to travel to Indiana to place Linda beside her baby girl.
Yes by my new page I meant on this site. Thanks for the help, May I add you as a friend?

Thanks so much for posting the Memorials for Carl August Kindberg and Marie E. Arndt Kindberg. Carl's nickname was "Boss" and Marie's was "Girlie." Marie is my first cousin two times removed. Marie passed away in Trumbull County, Ohio where she was living at the time. Boss passed away in Lake County, Indiana. Both were born in Indiana.
Thanks for all your work at Find a Grave.

I am writing to ask your permission to copy the photographs on this memorial. I am assisting my cousin with his family's genealogy and Nancy Ross Nehemiah is his step 2nd great grandmother. I will always give you credit for the photograph. I would like to post it to the Ross family tree on Ancestry.com. I am not considering at this time any type of publication of the Ross genealogy, so the photograph would only be posted to a public tree on Ancestry.com. There may be other photographs that you have posted that would also be part of this family that I am hoping you will be willing to allow me to also copy, but at this time, I have not identified them. Again, I will give you credit for any and all photos that I would copy and post. I appreciate you considering my request. I live in Arizona and my cousin lives in southern IN so traveling to northern IN is very difficult.
Sincerely, Tracy Martinez

My source is her daughter's marriage record. Ancestry confirmed the spelling for me.
I linked her daughter, Alma Latham, wife of George McNaughton (here is Story County.)

Thank you for promptly approving all the edits for the Lottes family that I sent. It is really nice to see the members of the family linked and their complete birth and death dates listed. Also, I really appreciate all your excellent work of creating their memorials and posting the headstone pictures. Thanks again.
