My researching family began when, after the birth of my grandson Max in 1997, my daughter-in-law gave me a version of Family Tree Maker. As a child I always loved mysteries. I read my mother's Ellery Queen novels, watched Perry Mason episodes and my favorite board game was Clue. I always thought how much fun it would be to work as a detective. I guess, in my own way, I do.|
I firmly believe that our ancestors deserve more than just dates on their memorials. It is because of that philosophy that I try to add as much of the information that is available to me. Thank you for either your help or your understanding when I fall short.
For those who wonder...
Why is the number of memorials managed higher than the number of memorials created?
This is due to some generous F*A*G contributors who decided to transfer some of their memorials to myself and others.
I feel honored to be one of the recipients entrusted to care for these postings.

Hi, the info has been added for the Byrd's at Mountain View, Larry
|Elizabeth R||RE: Transfer|
Marcia, you are most welcome. I am glad it went through; it kept giving me an error message. Thank you for sharing your information. When we all pull together, the load is lightened and much more pleasurable.
|Karl Stelly||RE: Transfer|
You are welcome. It's my pleasure.
You are very welcome.
Happy to transfer my memorials to family members. Thank you for your request.
|Rhonda Brooks Daugherty||Infant Daughter|
As you requested, I have transferred the infant daughter that's part of your family to you:)
Thank you for the quick correction!
Have a great day!
|SleepingDog||Sarah Perrel Holloway Flynt|
I have transferred that memorial to you.
Sarah was a daughter-in-law of my grandfather's sister, Susan Crews Flynt, whose husband, James Madison Flynt, was killed by the "home guard" during the Civil War because he objected to the war as so many of my other relatives did. (And as I would).
I do know that after her husband was killed, she eventually married someone else---I think by the last name of Davis---but I don't know much about him. So--if you have any information about Susan Crews Flynt's second husband--I'd love to know about it.

You're welcome! And you are very gracious!
Have a wonderful day.
Thank you for the obituary on my Uncle Charlie Logan, it rounds out his memorial very nicely.
