I am happy to transfer memorials-just ask. |
I welcome corrections, updates, links, and additional information on my memorials. Findagrave is a joy when people work together in the spirit of collaboration.
Thank you to everyone who has cheerfully added the information and links I've asked for, and a pox on those who won't. And thanks to the photographers who go out in the cold and heat to get photographs of stones for us all. Findagrave couldnt exist without the 'boots on the ground' folks.
Thank you to my Findagrave friends who help me with locating burials and stitching my pieces. Without you I'd have a much harder time, make a lot more mistakes, and not have nearly as much fun.
I have added another email address:
March 1, 2014: I found a lot of FAG email in my spam folder, and accidentally deleted the lot before I could read them. If you wrote me and didn't hear from me, your message got deleted. I always reply to my email.
If you have time, please visit the memorial of a great lady, my friend Winona Rhodes

|BJ Resh||George McManus|
The newspaper item regarding the death of George McManus does not pertain to the George McManus grave shown at Camp Creek. G. D. McManus (George) is buried at Union Baptist, Adam's Crossing with his wife Alice and his dau Lillie. I did not get a photo of Lillie and Alice's markers, in fact, they may not exist, I don't know. But G. D. is George who died digging the Stogner grave per family bible records.

Okay, then we're talking about two different things here: (1) The edit(s) I declined based on a lack of sources would have been the new-style edits, the "fill in the blank" forms. (2) Any suggestions you sent that included sources would have been sent by the old-style email forms. I have not denied ANY of those from you (at least, not in the recent past.) We have 30 days to address suggestions, and I WILL get to yours w/in the 30 days.

|Ellen||RE: Jennie Margaret Blackwell West|
You wrote, "No sources were provided? Her grandson's word isn't good enough? What? You think he or I roamed Findagrave, landed on Jennie West, and said, Here! Let's claim this woman as your grandmother!
"I have the death certificate of her son Charles Robert West that states her name plainly: Jennie Margaret Blackwell West. It was sent to me by Bob West, the grandson."
You did NOT provide any sources with your Edit request. This is the first time you've mentioned your sources. As I stated earlier, if you have sources (and it appears that you do,) send an explanation of them (and links to them if they're online) by way of the "Other" option on the memorial's "Edit" tab.

Yep, it's spring time, having fun. Am surprised that those haven't been entered in that cemetery.
