I was born and raised in Ashland, KY and now live in Benson, AZ. I have been doing my family research for several years. I am always looking for more information.|
I am researching the Harris and Prater families of Pike Co., KY, and the Dingess & Richards families of West Virginia.
I will gladly make any corrections when I am made aware of them.
If I send you an edit of names of a persons spouse, children, and parents, without memorial numbers, I would like you to add the names to their bio. It makes them easier to trace.
If I have a memorial for your family members I will be glad to transfer them to you, but YOU MUST BE RELATED!!

My name is Jerry Arnold Hartgrove, Sr., youngest son Of Earl Henderson Hartgrove, Sr. You don't know where I am buried because, obviously, I am still alive as of this date, 15 Nov. 2014.

Just an FYI to let you know that Miss Bettie Belle Rolfe Windsor's last name is mis-spelled a few times in her memorial. Correct spelling is Windsor.
|Rueselle Willett||Robert Wellman|
I believe my mother went to live with Martha Wellman when my Grandmother Evelyn passed away. Recently learned Robert re-married, did not keep the children then died three years later.
My mother use to tell me her father died from a broken heart.
The only thing I know of my Grandmother Evelyn is that my mother Doris Lee said she loved music and dancing and laughing. When I asked how she handled her mothers death my mother told me the night after the furnal of her mother, (Rodney could not attend for he was still in the hospital and unaware of his wifes death) Evelyne came to her and sat on the end of her bed. I asked if she was frightened and she said it was very calming. Her mother told her she loved her and will always watch over her and her brother Rodney. She also told Doris to take care of her Brother, then went away.
Can anyone fill in some blanks?
|Rueselle Willett||Robert Wellman|
Robert Wellman was my Great Grandfather. His Son, Rodney died in 1940, three years after my Grandmothers death. They were both in their 20ies when they passed away.
I have been attempting to fill in the blanks from the time my mothers mother (Evelyn Matheney/Wellman)pasted away to when she married my father (Marion Willett)at the age of 16. With four children in tow sometime in the early 60ies they migrated to California. My parents only kept contact with my fathers mother, Elizabeth Hilpp/Willtt, and my Uncle Tommy Willett. Her brother Rodney Walker Wellman joined the military and came to live with us in the later 60ies.
Anyone have insight on the Missing years of 1937 to 1960 with my Family.

Oops, sorry, wrong husband on the first try. You have Sidney Stollings' date of death listed as 1926, but I have found him listed in a 1930 census with his wife, Gertie Miller Stollings & children. Gertie remarried Donald Ray Ball in 1934 and is listed in Donnie's household in the 1940 census. I cannot find a death certificate or any information on her first husband, Sidney Stollings. Do you know where you found his date of death?

Debbie, have you been to the Vance Cemetery at Holden WV? My cousin sent me some old photos of his great grandparents, Riland and Mary Ann Hill Hager, telling me they were buried on the Left Fork of Twelvepole Creek in Mingo County. Riland's death certificate says he was to be buried at the Hager Cemetery in Mingo County.
Have you been to Vance Cemetery in Holden to see if Riland and Mary Ann's stones are there? Thank you so much for any info you might have.
(cousin) Judi Wilson
