RE: Mary Morton, Burial Hill, Plymouth, MA
I found the right Mary #75165094. Her maiden name was Barnes born 11 July 1730 to Seth (Find A Grave Memorial# 91572558) and Sarah Wooden (Find A Grave Memorial# 91572676) Barnes (Plymouth Vital Records, p. 105; Vital Records Transcripts, Vol 13, p. 166; Mayflower Births & Deaths, Vol 2, p. 425). She married Job Morton (Find A Grave Memorial# 81098495) on 3 Oct 1748, with intentions stated in the fall of 1746 and 1747 (Plymouth Vital Records, pp. 231, 234, 291; Massachusetts Marriages, 1633-1850, Film # 0416330-0416336). Job died Dec 1761 (Vital Records of Plymouth p. 76, 91). Mary Barnes Morton married Samuel Harlow (Find A Grave Memorial# 20646431) on 9 Nov 1763 (Plymouth Vital Records pp. 124, 253). Samuel Harlow died 17 Jun 1767 (Mayflower Births & Deaths, Vol 1, pp. 167, 435; Plymouth Vital Records p. 185; Plymouth Vital Record transcripts Vol 31, p. 115). Mary Barnes Morton Harlow married James Hovey on 2 Jun 1671.

By the way Samuel Harlow (Find A Grave Memorial# 20646431) was born 7 Sep 1726 (Plymouth Vital Record Transcripts, Vol 12, p. 87; Plymouth Vital Records p. 97; Mayflower Births & Deaths, Vol. 1, p. 167 & Vol 2, p. 435).

RE: Mary Hovey, Burial Hill, Plymouth, MA
Sorry for the delay. Mary Morton's date of birth is recorded on the very bottom of page 166 in "Massachusetts, Town and Vital Records 1620-1988." I don't see a way to attach a photograph or I'd just send it.

RE: Nathaniel Goodwin photos
I have had great luck when I write to Photo@. I explain the situation and I usually get the desired results. I might give them the photo you want to post so that they can see how their site would be better with it. They have uploaded photos for me under my account before, so that could work here.

Dear Sandra,

I do not mean to disrespect you, but I do not agree with your proposal, and I will not delete the drawing. It is the oldest depiction of the stone and aids to show damages to the stone over time. It is historically valuable.

You can however ask FindAGrave to delete the burry images by the user 'TheGuardian' as he or she is inactive.

Best of luck.

Oops! the cemetery is spelled Scherer Cemetery...not "Sherer."

I apologize for not proof reading.

Thank you Sandra for replying. I have the history book that you referred too, and there is much information about my 2nd Great Grandfather.

I have the records from Cicero Cemetery, and it has his family buried there. But, if you check the obituaries of the family members, it says they were buried in Sherer Cemetery, which is also called Crown Hill cemetery. I believe all three cemeteries are posted on find a grave, along with my family members' gravestones.

I uploaded my family in the Scherer Cemetery, and have posted my research and gravestones on each of their memorial pages. My family must have been graveyard hoppers!! Or they bought plots in Cicero, and Crown Hill/Scherer opened up and they decided that would be their final resting place.

I will be researching why they are listed in both cemeteries, and when I figure out what was going on back then, I'll be sure to post it on their memorial pages to end the confusion.

Thanks again for honoring my family. They were very involved in Hamilton County, and the more information that is passed around about them, will help other folks know some of the history and happenings in the county way back in time.

Hello Sandra,

I noticed you posted a picture of my 3rd Great Grandfather James R Carson on his memorial page in Cicero Cemetery, Hamilton County, Indiana. I was wondering if you are a descendant.

If you are, I would be happy to share my research with you and would love to find out how we connect.

Thank you,
Beth Thurston

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have made the corrections that you asked of me. Now all I need are the dates. By any chance would you happen to have those?
