|Flutterby||RE: Barbara Hastings|
You are welcome. :-)
Now that I look at the memorial though, I see that it is a duplicate. (This may have happened in the past year when two cemeteries were merged on Find A Grave.) By chance would you be willing to ask that both memorials be transferred to you and then ask Find A Grave to delete the duplicate? They will then merge the contents of the two memorials so that nothing is lost.
Both of the contributors involved are active and are generous with transfers, though it is important to mention your relationship however distant.
I do not get to Trinity very often, but I will keep my eye out to Minnie the next time I am there.

I'm sorry I made a mistake. I did about 20 last night and messed up on what I said last message . I have the "Gone home book" and it has a picture of Susan Sipes Waits in Guilliams cemetery. And I am sorry but it does indicate there is a marker for Sarah Ann Waits. I haven't been to the cemetery yet. I was just trying to get you the info you requested before I could get up there. I left the request open for Sarah but the picture for Susan is the correct one.

What do you want pictures of, they have no markers?

Hey, Jim! How goes the battle?
Your note to Lisa Best in reply to her question as to the location of the Sanders Grove Plantation Cemetery prompted Lisa to get in touch with me. Here is my reply to her inquiry as to the exact location of that cemetery:
"Hi, Lisa, and thank you for your time trying to locate the cemetery! My cousin lives in Harnett County in the ancestral home known as Lebanon, a home of the Smith Family descended from John Smith and Elizabeth Whitfield. My cousin has delved deeply into the lines from the original John Smith and that extends to the Sanders family from Hardy Sanders grandson, Ransom Sanders, son of Hardy's son Reuben Sanders. Ransom's daughter Sarah Elizabeth "Bettie" Sanders married Dr. Farquhard Campbell Smith, Jr. he born on Lebanon Plantation.
Phew! All of that is by way of saying that I don't know exactly where the burials are but I do know that the family was buried on their plantation which was located in Sanders Grove at the site of the plantation home per my cousin. The original Sanders Grove plantation was established by Hardy Sanders father, James Sanders (1713 - 1764) who was the original Sanders to come to North Carolina, he from Virginia. Hardy inherited the plantation. I doubt that there are grave markers extant for the family buried there.
My cousin was friends with Elizabeth Ross who surveyed and compiled lista and burials of so many of the cemeteries in the Johnson County area. He and she agreed that the family was buried on home grounds. And I wish I knew exactly where the plantation home had been.
Hardy's brother John Sanders established Pleasant Grove plantation in Johnston County and Hardy's other brother Brittain moved over to Wake County.
Again, thank you for your efforts, Lisa. Would that we knew the exact location of the burials.
Hope all goes well with you, Jim, along the genealogy trail!

We should be getting their pictures on Thursday and will post them soon after. The cemetery relaxed the rules and they now just require a phone call 1-928-445-1881 to authorize the photo. I don't think they wanted 40 e-mails. We just needed to break the ice with them.

WE HAVE THE OK TO TAKE THE GRAVESTONE PICTURES OF YOUR ANCESTORS AND WILL DO THAT THIS WEEK. IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE IN THIS CEMETERY PLEASE SEND YOUR AUTHORIZATION TO firstname.lastname@example.org (I OMITTED THE 6 IN MY INITIAL E-MAIL)

Do you have any info for this cemetery? I have looked through every cemetery survey for Johnston County and can find no listing for this cemetery.

My pleasure, Jim.
Have an awesome day, Bill

There is no mistake. There were only two names listed on the grave, Marie and Charles Gerard, although there are 12 people listed as interred there. Below is a list of all those at the gravesite:
First Name Middle Name Last Name Suffix Age Date of Burial
Michael Wm Mohr 18 12/01/1888
Henry Mohr 79 12/12/1894
Widow Hy Mohr 76 06/27/1906
Rose Mercer 49 04/06/1968
Jacob J. Gitz 81 03/01/1946
Margaret Gietz 87 01/10/1954
Child Jacob Gietz 05/09/1893
Marie Gerard 68 03/29/1976
Charles Cefaly Gerard 58 02/26/1966
Anna Florence Geitz 2mo 05/10/1894
Annie Mohr Dousseau 58 06/30/1931
Henri Doisseau 69 03/31/1938
It is not uncommon that names are not on these gravesites. I hope this answered your question.

You have a child listed that was born before Ruth was born. I think the child maybe hooked to the wrong parents.
