I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!|
King James Version (KJV)
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan was an orphan and had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He had been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

Johnny, thanks so much for filling my 3 photo requests for Oliver, Gene & Barbara Davis AND for taking care of the edits I submitted for them!
|Kayla Corbitt||Weybrecht Graves|
Please can you link Lorraine G Weybrecht to her husband Price W Weybrecht Jr. They are in fact married and have a son, Price W Weybrecht III my grandmother's cousin.

My research is exclusively for the 508th PIR and I have been fortunate enough to receive various photos over the years from men of the 508th or from family members. The photo that you saw of Roy Stinson was actually one of many thumbnails used in a montage of the entire Company that he was a member of. I have cut and pasted all those thumbnails from the 15 companies that comprised the 508th in 1943. I was just fortunate that he appeared in the 1943 Service Company montage before he was killed a few months later; it is the only one that I have of him.
I see that Thompson was from the 7th Cavalry and suggest that you try to contact someone who was in the unit when he was or someone who is researching them. It is very possible that a similar montage, or at least group, photos were made for the men to purchase as souvenirs when he completed basic.
Sorry that I cannot do more than that for you.
Keep up the good work on Find A Grave!

Considering how very busy you must be, I sincerely appreciate the quick response.
Also, thanks very much for the photo of Charles' headstone.
In light of the headstone, your posting on Charles's middle name LEANDER is correct -- my database was wrong.
The Geraldine Schrader, lying next to Charles, is his daughter. According to the Florida death index her middle name is Mildred.

First and foremost I'd liked to THANK you for all your tireless and unselfish postings on find-A-Grave !!
Without very generous folks like you, most researchers would drown in the sea of genealogy -- especially mobility challenged people like me.
You may, however, want to change Charles Leander Farnsworth's name to Charles Lewis Farnsworth.
His father's name was Lewis Leander Farnsworth -- Charles got his dad's first name as his middle name.
Again, a giant thank you for all your excellent work !!

Thanks so much for your assistance!

I spoke with Evergreen Cemetery Office; Katherine A E Bacon Parsons IS buried in Sec F Lot 71, just above her sons, W T Parsons (d.1924)but there is no marker. There are 2 others without markers in Sec F Lot 71: John Wright Fudger & George Fudger, who are related to Cora A Fudger Parsons (d.1950) I am working on the dates and relationships of the others.
There are othere related Fudgers in Sec H.
Do I have your permission to use your photos in my Family Tree info? My Tree is NOT published on the Internet.

|Dick ODonnell||RE: Stinson marker|
I am unaware of any children but he was married at the time of his death and a son when he was age 20 seems reasonable.

Thank you for your quick replay to my request for this photo!
