RE: Hughes/Clark/Cook St John's
Susan -the daughter Mary was born in Sherman - her mom was born in Ireland - not known where in Ireland.

Sorry for the confusion.

By the way - we visited the cemetery just today - and the grave sites are within eye view - about thirty yards apart.

Warm Regards,
Kevin

RE: Franklin E. Denny
Long time no talk. How are you. I was reading through some our old messages and wanted to let you know I have made little progress on finding any more info. I have since been to the graves of all the Denny's in my family and discovered there is still one plot still open and paid for. It belongs to my fathers cousin who is still alive. I have had no luck contacting her. I think she has a caretaker living with her and she just hangs up the phone when I call. Although I did discover who George married in Chelsea. Her name was Edith Mae Jones. She would be my biological grandmother. My path dies there. Unfortunately records aren't so clear dating back to the early 1920's. We are still trying to locate Isolde Fowler our mother but we think she died in the system.

Just wanted to keep you posted and say thanks again for your help.

RE: Bertine, Woodlawn
Thanks for the details of Clifford's and Florence's wedding. Quite a description. If you wouldn't mind you could contact me through my email provided in my bio.

Do you use ancestry.com? I found Clifford Sherman Hurlburt in the Connecticut, Military Questionnaires, 1919-1920. It is six pages long and contains his photo.

I did get your message, but got tied up with issues with my computer. Thought that I would have it resolved by now and could properly respond to your message. It is not the case, but I didn't want to not reply. As so I can devote some time, I will get back to you. Thank you for the information so far.

Thank you much for the edits and the obituaries. As is often the case, the obituaries provided me will additional information i.e. Florence's husband and location. Thanks again.

RE: Memorial # 16342025
I just send an email to "support@findagrave.com", gave them the memorial numbers and my number, and requested the transfer, stating the reason that Don Wilson was inactive and had been for some time.

RE: Elizabeth
Betsey the 2nd great-grandmother of the husband of the niece of the wife of my 2nd cousin 2 x removed. So very distantly, by marriage, technically, we are related. I have learned to expand the tree to locate those hard to find relatives that are more directly related.

RE: Elizabeth
Thank you for the response. Since all of her documents, other than the headstone, show her name as Elizabeth, please place a comment in the Bio so that others will know it is the same person.

Susan,
My name is Chuck Maxfield. I have gathered information and posted on my website information on all persons with the maxfield surname.
http://maxfield5.tripod.com/maxfield.html
I find the Columbia County information difficult to put together,
What is your source of information for Albert's father and his first marriage?
Any other leads for researching maxfields in Columbia county would be welcome.
Thanks for your great work.
