I have been involved in genealogy research on my family tree for many years. I gathered a lot of information from visiting cemeteries and found Find A Grave a great place to share. I finally realized that I was visiting cemeteries multiple times because of new discoveries. That is when I decided to map entire cemeteries by photographing all readable markers and providing links to families if possible. The cemeteries that are listed below have been completely photographed and uploaded in 2011-2013. |

|Geoffrey Browne||Amos Tollison|
I thank you for your work on Find A Grave. I noticed the Death Certificate of Elijah Tyler Tollison that his father was Amos Tollison. Do you have any information on him or his wife, Mary Eskew? Thank you again.

I was wondering if Thomas Almon and Mary Elizabeth Hall had a daughter by the name of Tullulah "Lula" B. Powell [1874-1945] who married Francis Marion Vickery [1870-1940]?
Thanks In Advance,
K. Chris Vickery

Unfortunately it does interfere with the by-maiden name search, unless the person searching knows to check both the boxes for maiden name AND to do a PARTIAL name search.
Knowing we are discussing Mattie Satterfield Kay Galloway, I just tried to search for her memorial.
I searched site wide with Mattie as first name and Satterfield as maiden name (by checking the box next to "include maiden name in my search") - it did NOT return this woman in the search.
It was only found when I checked both the maiden name AND the partial name boxes:
Because of the way her headstone is listed, both of her married names would go in the surname field, unhyphenated - not ideal in this case but it follows what the site asks us to do - but there's never an instance where a married name goes in the maiden name field.
I hope you will reconsider and list the entry by the established naming conventions.

John first of all let me say that what you are doing and have done for Find A Grave is greatly appreciated. For many years I was able and did visit and photo grave markers of my own family.
At the time, I did not realize how many of those same graves I saw were really extended families.
Now I am unable to go to the cemeteries and Find A Grave is such a great source of comfort to me. I can still feel through it that I have seen the graves. Thank you for your time and effort. Would it be all right with you if I make copies and attach them to my family files on Ancesty and Family TreeMaker? I am in the process of putting as much of my extended family on Ancestry so that all of my families now and future will have access to these records. Our heritage IS IMPORTANT.

Please state in your bio if Find A Grave members can use your headstone photos of their family. Really would like to know it is OK without having to bother you each time. Thank you for all you've done to help those family members who do not live in the area or haven't been able to find their family member's resting place.
