|Headstone Genealogist||Mount Royal Cemetery Photo Request|
Mount Royal Cemetery has 165 acres. The burial plot location must be supplied so a volunteer can go take the photo.
You can get this free information by filling the form here: www.mountroyalcem.com/index.php/en/our-services/genealogy-menu.html and in the "Desired Service" field, select "Burial Location (free)" and enter the information.
If the Genealogy page was not helpful then email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
The cemetery will email you the location (3-10 working days).
Have the memorial updated with the plot number.
You will have made it possible for the photo to be taken.
|appleblossom40||RE: Evelina LaRocque|
My Maternal Grandmother's Mother was Evelina Larocque. I have several pictures of her and her siblings and father Edward. If you are interested in them I have scanned them and can email you a digital copy.
My main questions about the LaRocques at this point is What did their Mother look like. I may have a picture of Lena St. George, but I can't identify her. Also, my Grandmother, Rose Lacroix, was placed in an orphanage in 1926, at age 10, when her mother Evelina passed away, from syphillis. Her Father, Pierre Lacroix (Evelina's husband)lived until 1932 when he also died of syphillis. This was a great secret in our family. I only uncovered the truth when I requested their death certificates. I have been told that Evelina was an actress but have not found any cooberating evidence. I have doubts about a lot of the family stories surrounding them because even my grandmother was not told much about her parents.
Let me know if you would like the photos and if you have any more information I would greatly appreciate it.
|Janet Emmons Pringle||Carmi Reed|
Hi Joyce, I just photographed the stone for Carmi and his wife but they are in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Brandon Vermont, not Pine Hill...unless there is another one?
|Kenneth Joseph Raposa||Almerinda Santos Rock|
Please delete memorial # 112065112 as it is a duplicate of # 162139485. Almerinda is buried in Taunton, not New Bedford. Her brother Joe is also buried there with her.
Many Thanks, Ken Raposa ~ Cousin of Almerinda's daughters Geri & Denise. 05.04.2016

I am just wondering what your connection to Evelina is. She was my Great Grandmother, and I have learned a lot about her and her husband P. Aldege LaCroix thru records, but they were quite the family mystery. It seems no one knew what they really died from, and they moved around a lot. Do you know anything about them? I would love to hear if you do.
|J.O.||RE: Harold F LaRock|
Rest assured, I wouldn't delete any memorials, nor can I, as I am not the memorial managers for these two pages. My notes to you were merely a suggestion, as the two Harolds seem to reflect the same person. Just a theory, but the "2003" date on Mr. Weston's memorial is based on the burial date that is found in the cemetery's online database - not necessarily a death date. Indeed, the cemetery's record says that both Rita and Harold were buried in this same graveplot on 4/23/2003. It lists no entry for a Harold LaRock in 1998.
It's merely my suspicion that Mr. LaRock passed away in 1998 (I have his obituary from 1998, noting "burial will be at the convenience of the family," which suggests cremation), but his remains were not buried until his wife passed in 2003. While there is an obituary for Rita in 2003, there is no 2003 obit for a Harold LaRock, which supports my theory. This is all a LONG way of saying, I think your memorial is correct and the other one is a duplicate/good-faith error. But you sound like you may have a lot of info on the family, so I defer to your judgment on the matter. Best wishes, JO

|Albert Ledoux||RE: Napoleon LaRocque|
The marriage record of the 1880 Napoleon is indexed by Ancestry under "Napoleon Laroche", to "Annie Rousseau," June 1, 1903, at New Bedford. It lists his correct parents, and also states he was born in North Webster, Mass.
|Albert Ledoux||RE: Napoleon LaRocque|
Ancestry has the 1880 birth indexed as
Louis N Larouque at Webster, Mass.
That's the exact date and place reported at the funeral home.
|Albert Ledoux||Napoleon Larocque|
It would appear that we are dealing with two different men, here. The data/parents I have posted for Napoleon Larocque comes from his actual tombstone that I transcribed, in conjunction with the Lamoureux Funeral Home records in New Bedford. The man you suggest has very different data. That's why I am going to decline your suggested edits.
If you're sure of the cemetery in which your Napoleon was buried, you might like to create a memorial for him there.
Father Albert Ledoux
Thank you for creating the memorial for William Leahy; Memorial# 108265695.
William is my grandfather and I would appreciate it if you would transfer his memorial to me.
