I have been married 56 years but we have no children. I was an elementary teacher for 21 years, quitting in the spring of 1972 to stay home and care for a nephew for five years. After he became school age, I went back to work in 1977 as a police dispatcher and continued in this work for approximately ten years. I began my family research shortly before quitting this job. I took over publication of a family newsletter when the original publisher was no longer able to continue. I enjoy exchanging information with other researchers.|

Hi Joan! I was wondering if you are by chance related to Ezekial Rogers. I believe that he is my GG grandmother's older brother and would like to know if you have any information other than what you have posted. He may ,or may not, be descended from Thomas Rogers who was on the Mayflower through Thomas' son Joseph. Thanks for your time and your efforts.

Larry has done an excellent job of photographing every cemetery in Bradley County. I never hesitate to email him asking for a photo. His are always so clear. I should take lessons from him! Evidently he takes pictures on an overcast day, in the mornings, for better pictures.

Joan, Thank you ever so much for catching my mistake! I seem to do that every now and again. Let me know if there's anything else I need to add or correct. Have a great week! CJ

I am distantly related to the Clantons and I am working on my tree. I just came across your memorial page for Lucian Clanton. Did you know there is a duplicate page for this person Lucien S. Clanton # 44972894 created by a CJ on 11-30-09 which is after you created your page so I am assuming CJ would be the one to delete duplicate? Same birth and death dates, slightly different spelling of 1st name, same parents, different Cemetery and location of cemetery. CJ's page has a picture of the headstone but you can't read the writing on it, we need to know what is written on the headstone. Can you possibly message this CJ and figure out which info is correct and which memorial page needs to be deleted and let me know the outcome. I am at a loss as to what info to put in my tree.

Has been changed to Dau. Take your word. I really can't tell from the picture of the marker. Can't go to cemetery now to double check..
Sorry for any mistake or inconvenience..
Have a great day.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I have uploaded the image of his certificate of death to the memorial that was created for him in Auburn Cemetery, Ellis County, Texas, USA and added your note to the image of his certificate of death to inform future genealogists. I also deleted the memorial I had created for him as the duplicate memorial was not needed.

I'm using Ancestry.com and Family Tree Maker to work on my genealogy and would like your permission to use the photos found on findagrave.com:
At this time, this is the memorial I'd like to use - I expect there will be more coming later:

I could show you at least 30 places that his name shows up as Clinton. There is a possibility that his full name may have been George Clinton Curtis Laughlin, however the Curtis would have been first in line.
