I really enjoyed your write-up in Find-a Grave but each paragraph was incomplete ending with ... . Do you know how I can find the full text?

RE: John Jacob Poliwodzinski
My great grandmother was Marcianna (Marianna) Jankowski Sochowicz. Her sister was Cordula Jankowski who married Andrew Poliwodzinski. They immigrated to the U.S. in 1891, but with which children, I do not know. I found a record of Stephan born to Cordula and Andrew in 1883. From the 1900 Census, I infer a child named Helen must have been born to them in Poland Nov 1888 and Leocadia born in the U.S. In Oct 1891. My guess is that Cordula died about 1893 because the 1900 census shows Andrew married to a Mary in 1894. The 1910 Census shows that both Andrew and Mary had been married twice. A daughter Veronica was born in Jan 1895. so she must have been Andrew and Mary's. Mary had a few children from her earlier marriage and I am guessing her husband's last name was Sroka because the 1910 Census lists a Vicenty and Mary Sroka as step-children. The early 1900's Detroit City Directories mention a Stephen and John Poliwodzinski. I have not found any mention of Stephen or John in the 1900 or 1910 Censuses. It is possible that John was Andrew and Cordula's son, but they had a son Jan who died in Poland as a child. Andrew and Mary are buried at Sacred Heart of Mary Cemetery in Detroit with their name misspelled as Polwiedzinski. I have seen it misspelled in the Censuses as Polisrodinski and Poliswodzinski. I am trying to prove that John Jacob is Andrew's son. Hope you find this information interesting.

John Jacob Poliwodzinski
I am trying to confirm whether John is the son of Andrew Poliwodzinski and Cordula Jankowski. Andrew was born abt. 1840 and Cordula abt. 1848. They had one son named Jan who died as an infant and two others sons Stanislaus and Stephan that I am aware of.

I see that there is quite a difference in birth dates of the children. Do you talk to Clara often, if so, could she rell me any more about her sister, my aunt Barbara?

You sent a death date for his sister that's before her birth date. Can I transfer the memorial to you?

Hello Dennis,

My e-mail is If you could send me an e-mail I would appreciate it and I can send you the photos. I think you would like the one with Helen in it. I was unable to upload it to her page. I also have a wedding photo from 1965 with Frank and Jenny in it along with Henry Wm, his wife Viola and my father and his first wife. There were more Chojnacki brothers. Their mother's maiden name was Krajenke, Krajenka. As you can see on Frank's memorial My uploaded prayer card matches his bio information. The Chojnacki brothers parents are in the same cemetery as Frank. I was told a few stories even about Phil. My grandfather saved loads of documents and wrote quite a bit of information.
