I've been doing genealogy research for about 35 years. I started before you could turn on your computer and do the research from your home. While I enjoy the convenience of using the internet to do research, I still enjoy the more "hands on" approach. I've taken many trips over the years to courthouses, cemeteries, to visit elderly family members, etc. along the way. For me, the online research just doesn't bring the same satisfaction that I feel when I am able to go dig up the information in person. I've enjoyed meeting cousins that I never knew I had, and I've also been able to reconnect with family members that I've lost contact with over the years. This has become a great hobby, and I've enjoyed learning all the interesting stories, both good and bad, about my family history. I hope I have and am playing some small part in getting younger members of my family interested in what came before them.

I'm happy to share whatever information that I have. Feel free to use the grave photos that I've added without contacting me. I've uploaded them for your use. All I ask is that you list where you got the photo along with the cemetery, city, state so others can find the grave if they wish to visit it. I'm happy to take photos of graves in my area for other people and upload them to memorials here. I think of it as a kind of payment for those who have been kind enough to get photos for me. I try to take the kind of photos that I would like to have....well focused, as readable as possible, and a good angle.

As for the more PERSONAL PHOTOS, I'd like to be contacted before anyone adds them to another website or uses them in any other way. I love sharing, but I also like to know where and how my research and/or personal family photos will be used, and I like to know that credit is given to the proper individual(s) if my research or photos are used by others. I feel it's extremely important that future researchers be able to get to original sources of pictures and other documents the same way that I and others did. It's very frustrating to see a supposed photo of someone on the internet, but the person posting the photo doesn't have the original, can't tell you where the original is or any other information about it, and doesn't even know for sure that the photo is correctly identified.

I'm happy to transfer any memorials that don't belong to my family. Just let me know if I am managing a memorial which is of your family member, and I'll get it transferred to you ASAP if I'm not related. I like to see memorials in the hands of family or friends who can add to the memorial and make it the best it can be.

Martha Williams
The office staff at Chapel Hill went through their record books and only show one Martha Williams, but the dates don't match. They show Martha E. Williams dob 4/13/37, dod 2/27/95. I have the photo, but don't want to post if it's not the right Martha Williams. Please let me know, thanks.

Eli Chandler
Jerusha White Chandler
Hi Sabrina, thanks for updating Jerusha dates. I hating looking at the unknown blanks under her name so I got busy when I could. Maybe this will help us or somebody down the road in researching and finding her. Never heard anything about Waco but anything is possible at this point.
You must come in on the Charity King side.
Some of us do know that Jerusha was a founding member of the Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church, in Smithfield, Georgia, in 1840.
Many of our Chandler, etc., relatives where members here and many are buried in their cemetery as you well know. Actually started the church in a log cabin. Also, many are not buried here it appears. Many persons think they are buried here but there are no records to prove it. We do know that many left to join other churches and it does not make sense to me that they would be buried there. Maybe a few but not the majority in my opinion. And if buried there why is it not in the records?
Anyway, many of our kin have searched the records of many of these churches already and have come up empty. The problem is many of these records are sparse or non-existing. There might be something out there to tell us but I am afraid they might not exist any longer. Waco, Primitive Baptist Church records need to be checked if not already. I never give up but I am a realist and the lack of proof with many of these people has been a problem for many years. The facts seem to indicate that the records have been lost or destroyed over the years. I hope that I am wrong. Many of Ambrose`s relatives burial places, and his, seem to be lost.
This is so sad but maybe one day some proof will be found.
Please stay in touch and let me know if you find anything else. I will do the same.
Some of us cousins are presently helping restore the Strong Cemetery in Coweta County. Another branch that married into the Chandler`s.
If you don`t beat me to it I will eventually write a bio. for Jerusha and submit it to you for Find A Grave. It may help us learn more from somebody else one day. If you have any ideas you want to share, I will be traveling to this part of Georgia several times in the coming years. I would be glad to try and track anything down if possible. Take care, cousin Eli Chandler

RE: Harry Hill and Family
You're quite welcome. I had seen the articles before, but was reluctant to them because I've had family members complain about articles I've included on the memorials. If a family member comes along and prefers the articles are not included I will respect their decision and remove them. Very tragic deaths, especially the children! :(
