I am very actively pursuing family information. I maintain an Ancestry.com tree, and my brother and I have family photo sites on Smug Mug, where we display the photos we get from family members and kind souls who share on these programs in hopes of preserving and sharing them with all families who need them. It occurred to me when going through my mother and grandmother's huge trunks full of photos that it was sad for one family to have all those treasures and not share. And, so began my many, many hours of scanning and sharing photos and information.|
I also enjoy visiting other memorials and cemetaries and adding flowers, pictures or data to memorials that have no information, or very little. My husband and I walk through cemetaries quite often, and find the headstones so interesting. I love adding to the history of these people, and it grieves me to find one that says "unknown" on a headstone. Genealogy has become a true passion.
My lines are Duncan, Mather, Dodson, Smith, Moore, Bullion, Curtis, Whitehead, Barron, Reid, and you know how that goes - many more! I am happy to share information and photos with those seeking help, and so very much appreciate all that is shared with me.
I live in the Hill Country of Texas, am married, and enjoying retirement.
Please feel free to use my information and any photos I have posted. I do not understand the fuss about using someone's photos. If they are sacred and personal, then don't post them, is my philosophy. We are all here to help one another and share for this and future generations. So many photos get lost in fires, animals getting into boxes, etc., so why keep them private? After we are all gone, our grandchildren and gr-grandchildren will someday be searching for images and information, and if I took it with me, they would be left at a loss. There are so many members in my family who suffered fires, floods, tornados, and other losses. But, at one time they DID have a photo of "Great Uncle John", however, now due to some unforseen circumstance, it's lost forever..... Think about it.
God bless and and Happy Trails..

Hi Lynda, What wonderful photos you have posted to the Reynolds memorials! I love old pictures. I transferred D L to you along with one other Reynolds, Ollie Wall, that I ha posted. I am unrelated and have no extra information. It appears you are related or have a lot of family info, so I thought it would be a good thing for you to have management.

I looked for all Rylees I managed and transferred all three to you. They are only related through marriage...better they be with family. I think I had transferred another one awhile back, so these are all the Rylees I had. Best to you~Becky

Youre very welcome. Vi would have laughed at that mistake. She truly was a pretty awesome person and so was her Husband Kermit. I knew them my whole life and in fact she was my sunday school teacher when I 5 or 6 years old. I want you to know that you do a very good job here I know appreciate it. Thank you.
