Because I Could Not Stop For Death
By Emily Dickinson
Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
We slowly drove, he knew no haste,
And I had put away
My labor, and my leisure too,
For his civility.
We passed the school, where children strove
At recess, in the ring;
We passed the fields of gazing grain,
We passed the setting sun.
Or rather, he passed us;
The dews grew quivering and chill,
For only gossamer my gown,
My tippet only tulle.
We paused before a house that seemed
A swelling of the ground;
The roof was scarcely visible,
The cornice but a mound.
Since then 'tis centuries, and yet each
Feels shorter than the day
I first surmised the horses' heads
Were toward eternity.
Thank you and God Bless.
SFC Kathline D. Forrester

Thank you for the transfer of Management for Ernest and Bertha Gorff. I do appreciate that you have maintained their records for quite some time. If there is anything I can ever do for you, please let me know. Sincerely, Lisa M.

Sorry, I do know that duplicates are not supposed to be up on here, but I live here in Sequatchie, Have personally surveyed every cemetery here. If the dates and/or name do not match, I will not delete them because the information needs to be there and there is a possibility they are not the same individual. I also do my own work and pictures, I don't take from others to boost my numbers. Please double check names, dates, dates of postings, and any other information before you ask me to make edits. Oh! and I don't hide on find a grave! You can e-mail me direct. Thanks!!!

I was just adding my husbands death and saw that the two of you were on the same line
|James L. Hahn||Praters|
Both Benjamin and Ruby Prater have been removed. Again, I apologize to you.
|James L. Hahn||Prater graves|
I am so sorry about the duplication of Ruby and her husband. I did not know it was not allowed (though I suppose I should have).
Ruby Prater was my Grandmother's sister.
I will happily remove both memorials.
Would you be nice enough to link Ruby to her father, Samuel Rutherford Freeman? He is buried in Birmingham. Ruby was one of 8 sisters - on the last try, they finally had a boy and he was given Ruby's married name as his middle name - Edward Prater Freeman.
|pam carpenter||JAMES AMOS ADAIR|
Amos Adair is my grandfather. Would you consider transferring sponsorship to me? Pam
|name is Beverly Garren||Mary Josphine Prater|
I have made a mistake on linking Mary Josephine Prater 94775587. This person is not the right one. Could you please unlink Mary Josephine Prater from William Edgar Garren 107652726 and Nannie Mae Garren 10765257? Thank you.
|Joan Viney||Information needed|
Can you shed any light on the identity of the persons whose names are inscribed on the rear of the gravestone of Charles Daniels and his wife, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Clanton? Census records show a Cecil Daniels as their son; however, the other names---one having the surname Miller---I have not been able to identify. Any further information would be appreciated.
|David Doyle||Ezell Knighten Hale|
I see where you posted info on "Find A Grave" for Jesse P. Knighten and his family. My grandmother, Arah Knighten Doyle, is half sister to Ezell Knighten Hale. For many years, we've been searching for a photo of Arah, who died in 1915, long before any of my family were born. I maintain the Find A Grave listing for her grave in Steppville, Alabama. I saw where someone posted a photo of Jesse "bud" Knighten with some small children, whose identities are unknown to me. Perhaps one is my grandmother.
Any information on Arah Knighten Doyle would be greatly appreciated.
