RE: Regarding my Sunnyside
Thank you for making the edit. I am puzzled, however, from your comment. I do work with one individual to get access to the Sunnyside Cemetery records but I did not request that person to contact you. I, of course, did contact you via the official Find A Grave mechanism - in this case, a SAC which results in Find A Grave sending you an email with the correct links imbedded. I hope that this is not the message you refer to as rude; it certainly was not my intent and I apologize if it could be read as an order.

RE: peter prosper levesque
Thank you so much for your quick response. Wow. I am researching this family and coming across many dead ends because my mom was an only child and her dad was somewhat estranged from the family. He even changed his last name to Bishop, which is the American word for Levesque.

It seems 'Uncle Pete' left home, Rhode Island, never to really return again either.

His wife Patsy died young.. What more can you tell me about her or him? I can also send you a photo of his brother, my grandfather, who was eleven years older then Pete. There were two sisters who were both nuns too and one other older brother Alexander 'Al'.

Doing some research on my ancestry and came across this. Peter was my great uncle, my Mother's fathers brother. My mother is an only child and only remembers meeting Peter once when she was young, but she does have a photo of him.

Can you tell me something about him and how you acquire this photo? My mom was under the impression that he never had children. Is she wrong? She says he served in the Navy most of his life. His sisters were nuns. His brother of whom I speak is Philip.

RE: Hi Jim
I'm going away tomorrow for a week. If you can wait, I'll check this out when I get back on the 6th. Otherwise, you can contact the Sacred Heart office to see which cemetery they are in - the old or new. If I can get the section/lot/plot it will be much easier to get the photos.

Gregg Porter
Grandchildren updates for Ernie Porter
I am Paul Porter's Middle Son, Gregg. I have two brothers, Older; David, and younger; Daryl.

I am in the car business. I am a Ford Master Technician in the California Inland Empire and quite a car nut, no suprise considering the lineage.

I am not sure what grandpa would say knowing I work for a Ford dealer, but He did also. After coming to LA from Iowa, He worked for Frank Taylor Ford in Los Angeles for some time before opening up the used car lot in Alhambra.

I amaze people I work with when I give them some of the Ernie Porter history. I look a lot like my grandfather, I even have the widows peak hairline at the top.

He passed away on my fathers 17th birthday.

Of course, I never knew him. I was born in 1975

Thank You
I hadn't seen or heard from LLoyd since 1973. But not a day went by that I didn't wonder where he was or what he was thinking. So many thoughts and questions. But at least now, one has been answered..... By the way, he is my father.

Thank you
