Beneath the boughs of ancient trees
A little flag defies the breeze
And every carvings's stark relief
Reminds us of a day of grief.

The flowers in the vase soon wilt
And over time, the markers tilt;

The letters on a stone may blur
But even after decades stir
The memories of those before,
Of how they'd smile and laugh and roar.

And standing on this gusty hill
I think that they are with us, still.

RE: Wamego
Hi! Thanks for the message. I hadn't thought about removing the temporary marker pictures; great idea! I will try to keep that in mind when posting pictures of permanent stones. Thanks for all you do for Find-a-Grave also!

Sorry about that, I typed in the wrong number. I have removed the wrong Homan picture. Linda

RE: John Homan #140444483
I looked at the memorial you referenced for James B Jessop, #1404444183. He was born in 1851 and dies in 1927, which is exactly what is on the stone. If you are talking about the second picture, which has the family name and includes in the picture a few of the other family stones, I only included that so people could see what the entire plot looked like. I guess I'm not sure what you want me to remove. Thanks Linda

Bertha O. Sackrider # 134324653
Thank you for creating a memorial for Bertha O. Sackrider at the Wamego City Cemetery. Bertha's parents are buried in that same cemetery and I would appreciate it if you would give the link information to her parents:

Alice May Thompson Fernsell, memorial # 19753133

John E. Fernsell, memorial # 19753279.

The obituary for Mrs. Fernsell speaks of Mrs. Wilford Sackrider.

Thank you for posting my husbands great grand parents Samuel and Mary Pinkerton Haws. Can you link them to Virtus and Claryce Haws, his parents?

Thank you again for your time and efforts, Anne Haws
