I took some horrible pictures with a new camera and will include them, but if you can provide a better one, please let me know so I can delete mine
If you send an edit, please do not use someone's family tree as proof. I've found folks will often make incorrect assumptions and someone else will come along and believe that assumption has been verified.
I don't need or require proof as some folks do, but will usually check
Thank you for all you do on FAG.

Hello, Desserthorn. you added my relatives grave to this site April 3 2013. There is a description of where grave is but am having alot of difficulty finding it on a maps (Google, & earth) by the description. (the note ends in ... ) Which home on this rd are you referring to I can not see anymore of the note.I would also like to take a minute to thankyou for documenting these, As I am seeing relatives full of stories and wisdom dying over the past few years. I regret not sitting down and writing down their stories. I'm in a frantic quest now to find out as much I can from living and to find the graves of relatives, their previous homesteads and occupations as I can for my children and grandchild. memorial # 127380091 If you live close to this little cemetery can you give me a little more info on how I would come to visit. Thankyou,
Jennifer

Jonathan West
Hello, I wonder if you have any information on the family of Jonathan West (131758354). I believe he was the same Jonathan West that was listed as executor for his brother Joseph West in Galway, Saratoga, NY in March 1813. Joseph West had a son, Ira West, who was born in Sept. 1799. I believe this was the same Ira West who married Louisa Caswell in Manlius, Onondaga, NY in 1826, then moved to Niagara County by 1830, but I have no proof it is the same Ira West. Would you possibly have any information that could shed some light on this? Thanks in advance!

No relation. Lucinda's younger half-sister married a distant relative of hubbie's late in life. I was just piecing together the family. The Mississippi records are pretty dismal. I do love a challenge though!

Also, did you notice that you can actually read all of the writing on the stones? Using a birthdate calculator, it's clear that Charles William Fish is her son, not her husband. Reading the stones, pretty much tells the whole story. So far, there has been no response.

Yes, Lucinda married John L. Brown 19 Oct 1886, Amite County, Mississippi.

Here is her obituary, which I did send, along with the edits and marriage records and the location of her first husband, Charles Eugene Fish, as well the obituary for her sons.

GLOSTER WOMAN IS MOURNED MY MANY

GLOSARE, Feb. 12.—Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the Baptist church here for Mrs. J. L. Brown, aged 83 years. Mrs Brown was a native and a lifelong resident of this section, a daughter of Felix G. Carter, a pioneer citizen of this county. She was marred twice, her first husband being Mr. Fish, who died early in life, and she later married John L. Brown. They never had any children, but adopted six children. She is survived by her husband, two sons, C.W. Fish of Mexico City, C. M. Fish of Laredo, Tex. Both of her sons were with her during the past two months. Rev. E. K. Cox was in charge of the services.

Clarion-Ledger; Jackson, Jackson County, Mississippi; Sat. 13 Feb 1932; p. 1, col. 6.

Thanks,

Tari Parr

Fish Family in Laredo City Cem.
Charles Minton Fish's brother is named Charles William Fish. Unfortunately, when you click on Minton's mother, you see her oldest son, Charles William attached as her husband! Hopefully that edit gets fixed soon! Thanks for being so prompt! ;-)
