Interesting. I'm not sure if it's the same Charles Doughty that you are related to, but nevertheless, I will contact the cemetery for more info. Thanks.

Can you tell me where you found the information you posted with the photo for Helen Monahan Sterrath? I am trying to find more information on the Monahan line and appreciate your help.

That's crazy! Well we're definitely related. My grandparents, great-grandparents & great aunt are all buried at Oak Grove Cemetery too. They rented & owned various gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs from above Sunset Lake to Cottage Park. Wonder if your relatives went to the cotillions at the Tivoli? My great gram loved doing that. Probably played cards with your great grandmother :)

Funny! I took on my stepfather's surname too, and then my mother & stepfather broke up. Since then Mom & i have had this surname (albeit a nice one) that really doesn't mean anything any more. To add another layer of complexity, my 3rd child has my last name, thus my stepfather's, along with her own father's... And I've been thinking: good luck to future genealogists figuring out who's who. And also, what names will i want on my grave? My dad's or stepdad's? Or mother's maiden name? Life is just not simple.

You're welcome, cousin! Which of the Howland children do you descend from? Our line is through their daughter Desire.

I will change my flower notes on Anna's memorial. Really just put it there so I'd remember where to look! Many path markers are missing right now but luckily Adams was there. I photographed the other 3 graves in her family plot too & will add them or create new memorials. Let's see, they're: Delia, Richard, and June Bosworth.

I had created a memorial for her in 2014. I noticed that you had created an unknown burial memorial for her in 2012. Since you have 30 days by Findagrave rules to update that memorial to a cemetery, I am transferring my memorial to you, since you are interested and related to her. This way you may add the information from your memorial to the one I have transferred and can delete the duplicate and you will have control of the memorial. I hope this helpful to you.

Here is Findagraves rule: How do I add a memorial when I'm not sure what cemetery they are buried?
This is similar to adding a memorial for cremation. Do not create a new cemetery which does not exist in order to add these memorials. Use the Family and Friends link and select the Burial:Other and then Recent Death, location of body unknown option. Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days. [Top]

RE: Any family connection
The information I have on the Hotchkiss family is on Find-A-Grave. The following website might help:

You may also what to contact the Vedder Library in Coxsackie, NY. They have Greene County historical records.

Good Luck
