 | RE: John P. Morrow (1881 - 1951) Hi, I reviewed records on line and see that Margaret Tate Morrow died divorced from John per DC.
I found a birth certificate for Robert Kenneth Morrow (1941) stating parents as John Paxton Morrow and Blanche Mathis.
I believe the link is correct. perhaps she just preferred older handsome guys (like me) to young whipper snappers - :-) | | | Danny King
 | Ulus Bruce Kuykendall Ms. Lindsey, my name is Danny King, i'm messaging you with a couple corrections concerning my (half) uncle Bruce. His mother Imogene was married to Dolph Grooms at the time of Bruce's passing, as Bruce's dad Ulus passed away when Bruce was just a child. Also Bruce has a living half-sister,my mother,Martha Grooms King. Mr. Kuykendall is buried also in Bethel cemetary, and his mother, along with his step=father are buried in Bon-A-Venture cemetary on Newfound Rd. Thank you for posting his obituary, and your time in researching for everyone. | | | Danny King

 | Minnie Lindsey Molly,
I have posted a photo for your aunt Minnie at Memorial Park. She is buried in Section L.
Thanks,

 | Dwight Lindsey Thank you for the additional information on Mr. Lindsey. I'd be happy to transfer his memorial, if you'd like - on the condition that you also take the memorials for his wife and daughter. As crazy as it sounds, I would like for them to remain together. Yes, their story is very tragic. After I came across their headstones, all with the same death date, I did some research at the library and actually printed off copies of the news articles, as well as (I think) their obituaries. | | | Mimosa
 | RE: Byron and Reuben Byron Goin Coldwater is in Tate County, which used to be a part of DeSoto County. Also, both counties are now under water in Arkabutla Lake, created by the Arkabutla Dam on the Coldwater River. In fact, the town of Coldwater itself was moved about two miles because of the reservoir.
As for Greenleaf, there are three Goins in that cemetery on Find A Grave.
That's all I can tell you about that area. My better knowledge of Mississippi is Central Mississippi. I'm a transplant in Northwest Mississippi and know the area better than the people.
Good luck on your quest.
Cecil

 | RE: Byron and Reuben Byron Goin Only "green..." cemetery I can find in Tate County is Greenleaf. It's given as Coldwater in Find A Grave but is between Coldwater and Independence.Added by Mimosa on Jun 03, 2013 10:50 AM | | | Mimosa
 | Byron and Reuben Byron Goin I changed the pics and added Byron's memorial and linked it to Velma.
I also linked Byron and Velma to Reuben Byron. If you're comfortable with this or want me to add Reuben to Byron and Sr. and Jr. to them both, let me know
I just take pics and add the memorials and hope I don't make too many errors. I'm a man. It's genetic.

 | Zeke and Mary Birchfield That would be a great trip! I haven't spent time in that area, just traveled through off and on. I'd almost bet on Zeke being buried by her-maybe I'll make a photo request of his grave and see what I get. You were so right about the mess that lady made of the cemetery listing/duplication. I was aghast! Betcha didn't know our new sheriff Greg Christopher descends from Zeke and Mary. Did you read the interview with him in the Mountaineer recently? He said the best advice he ever had was from his grandfather Buford Birchfield who told him to put God first, his family second, and the rest would take care of itself. Mr. Buford (who is precious) will be 96 in a couple of weeks or so. I went to a celebration of his birthday and family reunion about four years ago, and he was delightful! | | | Frances Rogers
 | Mary Turner Burchfield Thanks for the help, Molly! I'll check it all out a little later. I had created a memorial, location of burial unknown, some time back. I saw Jeanne's note about him, and have emailed her because I know his ancestry. Zeke and my great grandfather Bill Birchfield were brothers. | | | | [View all messages...] |
