My ancestors are from the Cleveland, Rutherford, Burke, Lincoln and Catawba county areas of NC and then they moved on to SC, GA, TN, AL, MS and many others. If you have kin in that area, in many cases, I always say you can throw a rock and hit a relative.|
My husband's lines are in Laurens Co, SC, moving to Carroll Co, GA and into Clay Co, AL.
Find A Grave has been invaluable to me in learning relationships I had no idea about. Many thanks to the volunteers who walk the cemeteries and take photos.

Thank you so much for taking your time and energy to find my Uncle Nathanial's headstone. It means a lot to me as I can never seem to get back home to the mountains myself.

Hi, Susan, nice to hear from you. Their sister Mary Withrow Rankin is my 5th great grandmother.

I will delete it. I used the list of someone My Floyd who documented the whole cemetery and he listed this as her stone. No problem, Thanks.

|Goldrush||RE: Eli Mull|
I believe that Eli was married to Jeanette Mull who died Sept 10, 1879 in Vallecito, Calaveras Co. at the age of 24. I do not know where she is buried.
Eli's parents are both listed as being born in SC, but the names were not on the death certificate, probably because whoever filled out the death certificate did not know the names.
Death certificates are filed with the county recorders office and are not available on line. The local newspapers are not on line either, as far as I know. I will see if I can find the obit at the county archives, which often has copies of old newspapers. If I find an obit, I will post a copy on his Findagrave memorial.
