I love exploring and photographing old cemeteries in Maine. I am especially familiar with Androscoggin, Cumberland, Hancock, and York counties. I am a Greater Portland History docent, photographer for Greater Portland Landmarks, a contributor to Friends of Evergreen, and a member of SpiritsAlive.com, the overseers of Eastern Cemetery in Portland, Maine|

Yup; noticed! Nice photo. :) I think we are on the same page with this family now. If I remember right, there was only one daughter of Jesse's that I couldn't find a burial record for. I linked (or requested links) for all others, as well as Eliza's daughter, Clara Banks.

I received a note from another volunteer about the Babbidge family and spent some time this morning over breakfast looking up records and adding info, and linking family members... all before noticing the series of edits you had requested yesterday!
Thanks for sending them along... you will probably receive notification that I declined most of them this time. Wish I had checked my pending edits first!
:) Thanks, Ben!

Thanks Ben for adding your photos to these memorials. You do such a beautiful job with taking photos, thanks for doing them.
|Pat Baker||RE: Lillie Cummings|
Well, to be honest, I'm not sure myself, anymore lol. I was spending a concentrated amount of time of the Cummings branch of my family tree, and I think I was requesting the headstone in order to verify whether or not she was in our Cummings branches. So I've noted the info, but as of today have still not figured out what led me to her/her family--but I'm thinking it's because I had an "L. Cummings" in my list of that time period and needed to check Lillie out. Most of my Cummings are from PA and WV, though, so it was a long shot.

I'm not sure how to go about correcting this memorial. The picture you took is for Eliot F Clark Sr. 1818-1880 and his wife Mary Ann Frye 1816-1888. I thin the picture should be with the memorial for the Elliot F. Clark Jr. with the unknown birth and death dates. You have put the picture with his son's memorial. He died in 1908. I can't tell if from the second picture you took if the other marker is the son's or if he's in a completely different location or if his memorial ois on the back of his father's.
Thanks for your help. The pictures are great.

Thank you for getting the photo. I have never seen anything like this one. The small tree is blocking the inscription over the door. Do you happen to know what it is? Do you know if there is any more details about this tomb? A cemetery contact phone number would make it possible for me to call them instead of bothering you. Thank you again for your time & assistance. Have a great day tomorrow. Take care & God bless.

Thank you very, very much for the photo of her gravestone! It looks like you took it just in time....another year or so and there will be nothing left there but the base...
