PLEASE REQUEST TRANSFERS.... If you are related and can enhance the memorial by adding additional information, please request transfer, giving me your relationship. No transfers just for collection of a particular family name. |
If you request a transfer, be sure you are committed to a lifetime of maintaining the memorial. Unfortunately a few of my older transfers are maintained by contributors who no longer respond.
IMPORTANT: When sending information to add, give source of information. Without sources, sorry, but changes will not be made. With new quick edits, this is still important. Unless evident on memorial, please use the other suggestion and include source.
We've searched many graveyards, seen stones that were in such disrepair, and wondered what would happen to them as time marched on. This site is a wonderful way to preserve, if not the actual stone, at least a replica by photograph for future genealogists.
If you have taken better gravestone photos that what we have posted, please post yours and send a message - we will review and delete ours if appropriate.
Happy graving to all!
---Bill & Linda

Many thanks for the grave stone picture. Really helps to validate his short life.

There are no internet sources that I can send to you to confirm this. Eve Gilbert b: Nov 22, 1796, d: June 4, 1847 and married to Jacob Nickey on Aug 20, 1818 , is my husbands great great great grandmother. Her daughter Margaret Elizabeth Nickey, b: Dec 4 1820, d: Oct 7, 1866, married John Hartzok on Dec 20, 1854. Their son Jacob Nickey Hartzok b: Oct 1 1855, d: Mar 11, 1939, married Margaret Elizabeth Izer, b July 25, 1853, d: July 1, 1936. Their son John Wesley Hartzok, b July 24, 1884, d Dec 16, 1958 married Jennie Grace Hepfer b: Sep13, 1878, d Aug 11, 1958 whose son John Allan Hartzok b Jan 4, 1910, d: June 10 1989 married Gladys Marguerite Jones, b: July 30, 1914, d Feb 17, 2002 . Their son, Jay Wesley Hartzok, is my husband. This is my husband's family tree.
After Eve died in 1847 Jacob Nickey married his second wife, Fanny, sometime between 1848 and 1850. I added a photo of Eve's tombstone to her page. On the tombstone it says "wife of Jacob Nickey".
If you would like to transfer Eve Nickey's memorial page to me, you may do so. My number is 48231098.
Thank you so much for posting the photo of this marker. I appreciate it.

I thank you very much for finding the photo of my cousin Sandy and Richard Cecconello's grave. I am working on my family genealogy information and do not live near Carlisle. I really appreciate your time. It was a great picture!
