Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Central Alabama; about 12-hours away from any cemetery with relatives. Between 2004-2007, I lived in Northwest Florida where I spent most of my weekends driving to remote cemeteries to document and photograph headstones.

The joy comes when I hear back from relatives of those individuals I have added to Find-A-Grave. Because the majority of my entries are of no relation, I am more than willing to make transfers to your profile. I try to stay within the 4-generation Find-A-Grave guidelines; which are Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-Grandparents. Of course, those are just guidelines, not law and even if you are a 2nd cousin 3x removed, I'll probably transfer. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for EACH transfer. Please state your relationship to the deceased in the transfer request. And please, after it transfers to you, don't delete it and enter your own. I've worked very hard to document these burials.

For any corrections or to add other information, please us the "EDIT" tab on the upper right side of the memorial to send the information.

Thank you to Jim Tipton, A.J. Marik, and Russ Dodge for their dedication to this website. Without them, other staff, and most of all -- the volunteers, this site would not be available.

Nancy Elizabeth Mason Carnley
Hi, I was wondering if you would link Nancy Elizabeth Mason Carnely to her husband, George James Carnley. Her memorial #112277169. This was my husband's grandmother. Thanks, Carol Brown

Lacy Lee Clayton
Hi, Jeremy. Lacy Lee Clayton is my husband's great uncle and I saw that you had put some basic information on this site for him. Thanks. My question is about his birthplace. On his WWI draft registration it states that he was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, but had no county. When I search the Internet, there is a Walnut Ridge in Lawrence County and one in Grant County, Arkansas. His death record indicated that he was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. Grant County is considered part of the Little Rock metropolitan area, so I surmised that it was Grant County. Do you have more information to indicate Lawrence County? Just want to make my records as correct as possible.

Thanks again,
B. L. Abbott

Highest Thank you to You !
Dearest Mr. Jeremy R. Abbott,

You have today connected my family tree and touch a eotional twag in me because i see for the first time my great-grandmother on my mothers side. I, too, live FAR from relatives, making my home in Seattle since 1989. I found out about Find A Grave only months ago, but it has been people like you who actually take the photographs and document graves, and then someone like me connect with his departed kin and put together real evidence of family. I can not thank you enough, my friend. My Great Grandma's name I had WRONG in my geneology from high school days in 1980.
I searched for her, but my mom told me her name was Sarah. But there was no Sarah Padgett on Find A Grave so I was sad. Years after my grandma died, i ran across a note from her adult care facility in Pensacola said her mom name was Margaret. But I had thought, perhaps, they had got it wrong from my grandma. Then, today, I ran across that note I had made into digital and searched on Find A Grave. Sure enough. My mom had pictures of my grandma being taken to this cemetary entrance, and I heard you need a special permit to visit because it's on Government Property. They only took pictures of the entrance, and did not take pics of any headstones. This is where my great grandmother is because I had pictures of this cemetary.
This is a real big deal to me.
