In the event of the same memorial listed twice on the same day, please refer to the MEMORIAL number. The lowest MEMORIAL # was the one added first, with the highest MEMORIAL # being the duplicate.* |

Please do not assume, 'of anytown, anystate' means birth city and state.
Full time Student, 4.0 (summers too) so I'm slower with edits than usual. I'm knocking out the oldest edit's/SAC's and transfers a few at a time, while trying to keep the newest ones updated, too. Thank you all for your patience. You guys are the best!
Please be respectful in understanding that not all suggestions are necessary. Chances are that I already know the info, but have chosen not to include it for various reasons.
Military ranks are included in the name title when the full rank is among the choices in the drop down menu. Example: Sgt 1st Class should not be listed as Sgt; 2nd Lt should not be listed as Lt., and so on. If the full rank name cannot be placed in the title (as I wish they could be) then the full rank will always be in bio section.
On the other hand, I will gladly accept any pertinent information you submit. (citing source)
Please use the "Edit" feature to submit corrections. I'm far too busy to look for memorials, so that method helps to expedite your request. Thanks.
Need a memorial transfer? You'll need to use the edit feature on the memorial in question. Please allow 30 days.
Corrections and Transfer request submitted on this page will be ignored.

|Karen M. Freeman||RE: JENNIE MARIE WALTON SHARP BATTS|
Good Morning Elizabeth,
Thank you for taking care of this so quickly. Ironically, even the marker of Jessie Marvin Sharpe omitted the 'e'; however, it is on his NC Cert of Death and on other docs. It's just one of those details that gets overlooked.
I will call Montlawn today after 10:00 am to try once more to obtain the gravesite locations of Jennie, husbands Jessie & Alonzo 'Lonnie' and his 1st wife Ruby Virginia Payne. Weeks ago I spoke with 'Rose' and she was supposed to look them up & call me back but she has not; so I need to follow-up on this.
Jennie is the only one for whom there is no photo of her headstone on her Memorial page. I have a contact who will go take a photo if I will give her the grave location.
Have a good day and thank you for your dedication to this meaningful labor of love, too.

Discovered today that the name SHARP has an 'E' on the end; so will you add an 'e' to Sharp in the bio sketch you have posted for Jennie Marie Walton (Sharp) Batts?
I have submitted a "name addition" (MARIE and SHARPE) & a "spouse link" to her 1st husband JESSIE MARVIN SHARPE (1907-1961), age 54, a Pharmacist; also buried at Montlawn; Find A Grave # 47834729.

|Lee||Leland S. McCants III|
Leland S. McCants III was in Officers' Candidates' School with me in the same platoon March to September 1967 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. We lived in the same squad bay for 6 months before we shipped out to Vietnam. We were pretty good buddies. His dad was an Airforce Colonel, who is now buried at Arlington. Lee and I lost track of each other when we shipped out to different areas in the conflict. I was wounded, sent to DaNang, then back into combat. Leland died while trying to save another soldier. I never knew that until many years later. My wife and I visited the Wall in Washington D.C. to leave our rememberances near his name. Thank you for honoring him in Find A Grave. God bless America, and Lt. McCants, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I went and took pictures of his Cemetery Plot today and would love for you to have them. If you'd message me an email or something, that would be wonderful.

I first wish to thank you for all you do...we ancestry searchers are in your debt!
In doing research I have run across three ID# for the same person ID#14322835. He also has two more ID#'s: 94470264 and 130857559.
Since I am new to Find A Grave, I hope you can fix this problem. They even appear to have him buried in two different places?
Thanks and keep up the great work!

Elizabeth, Thanks for trying.

You're probably aware of this but there are two entries for Adam Wolff and both were made on the same day, FindAGrave may have to clear that up for you. :)
