I live in Bayonne, New Jersey with my wife Debbie. I have been a history teacher at Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City for the past 16 years. I coached the varsity hockey team there for 14 years. I got into photographing graves back when I was in college. It seemed like the perfect connection of two of my hobbies, history and photography. My first picture was of Vice-President John C. Calhoun, taken in 1984. Now my wife Debbie, who is a molacular scientist with Hoffman-Laroche in Nutley, is involved and helps me on my quests. | |

 | Tumulty family home? Hi, I came across your bio of Tumulty on this site. In 2008 I purchased a house on Bergen Avenue a few blocks from Hudson Catholic/McGinley Square. In trying to find out history of house and date built (circa 1890-1920? have postcard of it near the YMCA in 1924), discovered it was listed as the address of James Tumulty in book about treaty signed with Germany. Since moving here I have become fascinated by the neighborhood, glimpses of past grandeur, political pull of Irish, the descent into urban blight. Interested in any sources for more info on Jersey City history, photos and the West Bergen neighborhood. I am a writer with a daughter at St. Aloysius. Thanks, Teva | | | Big Ern
