I was wondering where the name Wagner came from. I am researching my family and I have a Malinda Wagner with the same birth and death year but I didn't think she was ever married. Any ideas on where the Wagner came into play? I just wondered since it isn't on the headstone. Thanks so much for helping me out!

Firstly, great job on sleuthing the Shilling line !
One correction - you have interpolated Samuel W. Shilling's tombstone to arrive at an August 11, 1874 DOB. However, my calculations yield a DOB for him of September 11, 1864.

Melanie,
I notice that you are the administrator for her listing. I was the one who took the original photo. How it ended up on FindAGrave I'm not sure. We just found out last weekend at the Bedford Historical Society that the cemetery she is buried in is actually called St. James Cemetery. The church that was there burned down years ago. It is on the same road as the Trinity UCC/Dry Ridge Cemetery. There are other Shillings buried there also.
Margaret was the second wife of my husband's grandfather, Alonza Ranker.
