I was born, raised and live in beautiful Northwestern Illinois. I love searching through old cemeteries for my family and helping others find theirs. I just found Fianna Finkenbinder's headstone on Find A Grave. I'm interested in how you're related in that line. Fianna's sister, Anna Mary, was my 2x great grandmother. Leslee Pohle
|Jeremy Warneke||Duplicate Bucher|
I forgot that I created a duplicate Evaline Bucher memorial. I just deleted as per your suggestion back in January. Thanks.
|Jeremy Warneke||Re: Evaline M. Bucher, daughter of Henry Krahmer|
I have Evaline's 1980 obit, if you want it.
Thank you for your response. The question for me too is who are Dennis's parents? You said you obtained the information from "Kent Township Burials, Stephenson County, Illinois" by Gary Price. Was this the entry? I am not sure if I have the one you referred to or not.
County Cork, Ireland
Death: Jun. 26, 1865
Jo Daviess County
If this is the entry, John and Johanna Buckley were from Macroom. In the entry I pointed out,the family was likely from Kildorrery, Cork. I have the marriage record of Dennis and Mary. The Dennis from Macroom was given a birth date of 1819, which is more in keeping with a father born c1792, while Dennis who married Mary was given a date of 1814. There is a good possibility that Dennis who married Mary is the brother of my great-grandmother. I would LOVE to know his parents' names. I hope this helps.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to add this stone and other stones to the web site. That is a great service.
On Find A Grave Memorial# 98318195 for Dennis Carroll, St. Mary's Cemetery, Stephenson County, Illinois, someone added the note:
Dennis was the son of John and Johanna (Buckley) Carroll. He married Mary. They had five children: Ellen, Daniel, Mary, Dennis and Hannah.
I wanted to point out that Dennis and Mary did have those children, but Dennis's parents were not John Carroll and Johanna Buckley. Besides finding other parents for Dennis and Mary, I have an email from someone with the user name WilliamCarroll53 (interested in Carroll, Buckley,
and Foley), on Ancestry. He wrote in March 2013: “I'm particularly interested because I think that the Dennis Carroll buried in New Dublin (and who lived in Erin) was NOT the son of John Carroll and Johanna Buckley. I say that with some certainty because my 2xgreat-grandfather was Dennis Carroll, son of John and Johanna. He lived in Pleasant Valley and died in 1891, buried St. Patricks/Plum River. His wife was Bridget Foley.”
So that would be two of us who feel this information is incorrect. Is there some way to remove the information?

Thank you very much for providng the information on the Hogan family of the Stephenson County Historical Society!
I'm looking into the 6 other children Philip and Anne had besides Mary and Michael.
|Karen Auman||William Auman birthplace|
Thanks for updating Mary Alleman Auman's maiden name.
I thought I'd also mention that William Auman's birthplace is not Bellefonte, Centre County, PA. I know that birthplace has propagated through many ancestries, but I have done extensive research and he was born in either Berks County, PA or in Greenwood township, Mifflin (now Juniata), PA.
His father was Michael Auman who moved to Mifflin (now Juniata) about the time William was born. From the Juniata County Recorder's office a Power of Attorney clearly shows William Auman of Illinois was the son of Michael.
The Centre county Aumans are a different family that I have not been able to link to William.

I have some more updates for you.
