Bio Photo First off....FEEL FREE TO USE MY PHOTOS OF HEADSTONES in your family trees...they're the last photos taken of our loved ones' time on this earth....The writing on headstones will fade over time but these pictures on findagrave will not.....

I've been doing our family genealogy for about 6 years now. I started my journey by looking for the ship my Grandfather came over from Yugoslavia on. I had the information on my Grandmother, but I could never find Grandpa's. Two days ago, on November 10, 2006, I finally found it!!! What a joyous moment for me! Because of my quest to find my family, I've been able to trace my husband's family back to Stephen Flanders (thanks to all the Genealogy books and family trees by Flanders family members), the Mansfield's back to Samuel (1804), and the Wolff's (Wolf, Wolfe) back to the 1700's. What a journey! I am really hooked now on finding our family. All four of my Grandparents were born in Yugoslavia and Lithuania. My parents are the first generation American. Needless to say, it's going to take me a lot longer to find MY roots! I really enjoy walking through cemeteries and taking pictures of unique headstones and the headstones of veterans. I take a picture of EVERY headstone of Flanders, Wolf, Wolfe, Wolff, Mansfield, Josephites, Josephitis, Juozapaitis, Altabas and other family names that may be relatives, because I know that someone--somewhere--is also looking for them. If you are a relative of any of my postings and want me to add family information, please e-mail me. I know how important the names of spouses, parents and children are to genealogists..so any information on my postings are a big help!

Link
Charles Link was born 29 Jan 1838 in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. His father was Nicholas Lincks and his mother was Charlotte Doretha Hornung. The Lincks name spelling was prominent in the older ancestors. Nicholas and Charlotte had children who spelled it Lincks and Link as Charles did. My mother goes by Lincks. Charles I have as died on 06 Jan 1925 in Violet, Fairfield, Ohio. I descend from Nicholas' brother Fredrick Lincks, a civil war veteran in the 21st Pa Cavalry, Company L. Both Nicholas and Fredrick emigrated to the states being born in Niederbetschdorf, Bas-Rhin, Alsace, France. Their father was Jacob Lincks (1772) and their mother was Eva Margaretha Fuchs (09 May 1772). I tied all of Fredrick's descendants to him. Feel free to tie back to Nicholas or Charlotte since she is buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery and she is already in the system.

Moore Family
Hi Donna,

I noticed that you had added Headstone pictures of my uncle Burnize Moore and my brother Larry W. Moore. I have more brothers and daughter in Obetz along with a large number of other relatives. I was wondering how you are related? Thank you for adding the pictures. You can contact me at debiwebi55@hotmail.com

Riggle Family Requests
Donna,
In the family book for the Riggles (Riegel/Riggle Family History by Leslie A. Riggle) it states that Abraham A. Riggle, b: 25mar 1826 and d: 1889, is buried in the Forks-Zion cemetery at Forks Church. However, there is no listing on Find-A-Grave for him.

I have a note (source unknown) that states that Abraham's sister, Sarah Riggle, b: Jan 1821, and husband Levi Crawford are buried in Bethel Lutheran cemetery, but there is no listing in Find-A-Grave for them either.

At your convenience could you check for me?

Fred

Hi again Donna. I suddenly have several new transfers with no idea where they came from. It's not a problem but was wondering if they were from you? If so, thank you; if not, another mystery...ha! Alan

RE: Relation
Hi Donna, I am Roger's son. I knew John and James (we called him Harvey) but wasn't old enough to have a very personal relationship with them. They both lived in Nevada when I was younger and then James went to San Diego and John to Texas and I never saw them again. Harvey died while I was in the Army. When John got sick dad and I wanted to see him but he did not want us to visit. My grandfather (Charles) passed when I was only a few months old and my grandmother a few years prior to that. Unfortunately dad's side of the family was mostly gone before I got a chance to meet any of them.
