I enjoy gardening and I am a member of the Mt. Pleasant Iris and Daylily Society of East Texas.
I love photography and use it for both fun and entertainment. Since digital cameras came into use I go crazy with an assortment of subjects. I take tons of photos of my flowers, but I also enjoy photographing birds, horses, almost any form of wildlife, people, but most of all Cemeteries and Tombstones.

I am an Amateur Genealogist with 30 some odd years of research behind me. I took a break of about 5 years and just recently started back up. When I started researching my family lines my mother would get so upset with me. I spent all my free time walking cemeteries, visiting dirty dingy courthouse basements, are just visiting people that I didn't even know to gather old family photos and oral information. Mom always told me I spent more time with dead relatives than I did the live ones.

The day I walked into moms house with not only her mother and father's original marriage license but her grandparents original marriage license is the day that she decided my family research was worth all the hard hours I had put into it. She never complained again and started sharing older stories and folklore with me.

I am a Caregiver by profession and own my own business, Compassion and Grace Services.
I am a Baptist by faith and proclaim Jesus Christ as my savior. He can be yours too!
Hopefully one day my son and daughter will carry on not only my genealogy research for others to enjoy, but my love for the Lord!

Marian

Wood Co. Photo B.F.Perkins
Good afternoon; I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting place of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Brainard Perkins was one such patriot. I am asking you if I may use the photo that you contributed to his F.A.G. Memorial, to post on the Vt, Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

hi !! Are you tracing her ancestry?? I notice her death cert says her mother was Winnie Paschal....
I see Winnie Paschal with her husband in Coosa co AL in 1870; heirs of a Milton Paschal from Lincoln co GA settled in Coosa co AL around 1860, taking some of their slaves with them ( ppl born in SC and Ga)

I am curious about this memorial. You had provided a photo of his headstone at the Sharon Cemetery. I have also found out he has another headstone at the Quitman City Cemetery This headstone was added to the cemetery sometime after 1970. But no one actually knows where the body of him and his wife are at!! WILD! How/Who/Where could I contact to find more information? This is a puzzling mystery that really needs solved if possible. I'm not sure if one of the funeral homes would know. I do not live even close to Texas but in Georgia where Joseph was from. Can you help me? Thanks!!

Hello,

I am researching Thomas Parker and I was wondering if we could exchange information about him.

There is indeed confusion at times here about those two particular cemeteries because there are no signs nor any clear dividing line of where one cemetery stops and the other begins. So a duplicate was created after I created a memorial for Mary Gann. However, it's just simpler to delete mine and let the later one remain, so that's what I've done today.
