Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am trying to find out any information on my Dad's side of my family. The last names I am researching are Chamberlain, Dreiser, Dickerson and Dies.

I am also researching my Mom's side of my family. The last names are Bozages and Voses or Vasos (sp?)(Greek surnames). If anyone has any information on these surnames...please contact me.

I live in California with my husband and 2 of our 3 children. Our daughter is married and lives with her husband in San Jose, CA. I can take photos in the Modesto, California area.

If you would like any of the memorials of the people I have listed on Find A Grave transferred to you...please let me know and I will be more than happy to do that for you.

If I have made any errors, please let me know and I will correct them.

RE: Your little baby
Awww. Thanks Joann. My husband and I are thrilled.

How did you know about Vicki Lynn? I was her age when it happened and don't know if it made national news or not. Did you live in Tucson when it happened?

David C. Dyess
RE: Martin Dies
Hello again Joann, The name spelling is sometimes very challenging. If we go back to the early settlers in this country we find various spelling of the Dyess name. Some Dias, Dies, Dyas, ect. Many of the names with my direct line got changed after the civil war. DNA testing has helped to tie together much of this confusion. Some if our research group went to England year before last, 2013 to research on that side of the pond. One of the first things they were told when they began was to forget the spelling.

You may contact be by my personal e-mail dyessda1@gmail.com

Rebecca, Daddy's girl
RE: Jeffrey F Stokes
Thank you so much for the information on Jeff. I did not know his mother's maiden name. I am grateful to you for finding out for me. I've done tons of searches trying to find his family. A distant relation wrote to me once, but I never heard from him again.
Thank you again!

If we are speaking of Martin W. Dias, FG memorial 6814667 we would be fifth cousins once removed.

RE: James L Dies
After reading your information about your father, I see that your grandfather, Carl, was James' brother.

James' obit lists Mrs. M. R. Brown as a daughter. We were also personal friends with Marvin Brown's granddaughter, now deceased. Please send a direct email to cbcemetery@gmail.com and I will be happy to pass along the obit.
