" Are All The Children In "
I think oftimes, as night draws nigh,
Of an old farmhouse on a hill,
Of a yard all wide and blossom-starred
Where the children played at will;
And when the night at last came down,
Hushing the merry din,
Mother would look around and ask,
"Are all the children in?
'This many and many a year since then,
And the old house on the hill
No longer echoes to childrens feet,
And the yard is still........so still;
But I see it all as the shadows creep,
And tho' many the years have been,
Since then I can still hear mother ask,
"Are all the children in?'
I wonder if when the shadows fall
On that last short, earthly day,
When we say good-bye to the world outside,
All tired from our childish play;
When we step out into that Other Land,
Where mother has long since been,
Will we hear her ask, just as of old-
"Are all the children in?"

Hi Vicki..I was wondering if you could please add something to a memorial for me? You placed an obit on 83082427 (R. O. Deakins) and it is for his wife who is "Josie" Deakins 83082392. Could you please add it to hers? I have sent "edits" for relationships and names and missing dates to the person holding the memorial. Thank you for finding the obit. And thank you in advance for your time...They are my sons Great Grandparents. Sincerely, Wendy

|Clifford Skiles||Mrs. Gilliam Barker memorial....|
I only live 1,000 feet from Barker and Teague Cemeteries. My wife and I photographed the complete Barker Cemetery yesterday. There is not a memorial or inscription to do with Mrs. Gilliam Barker anywhere. The cemetery is well taken care of and is across a narrow lane from the Teague Cemetery. Mr. Gilliam V. Barker is shown to be buried in Teague Cemetery. There is one rock that hasn't been moved in a long, long time for some reason. It could possibly be her marker but I would think she probably should have been buried in Teague Cemetery by her husband. On another day, in the near future, I hope to update the Teague Cemetery. Sorry I couldn't help with this.

Thank you for the compliment on my Brewer website. It sure has been fun to design it, although it's very time consuming and will probably never feel finished. I love having a place to put these things and make them look how I want, and it's a good way to share with relatives. And thank you for granting me permission to use the photo. I really appreciate it. I didn't about know Pleasant Burton Brewer until today, but if I figure out more about him, I'm certainly willing to pass it along to you. My email is email@example.com if that's easier, and you want to visit more about Brewer stuff. It's exciting to have found another Brewer researcher!
|Mary Andersen||Pleasant Burton Brewer photo|
Do you mind if I post your photo of Pleasant Burton Brewer onto my Brewer ancestors website? Do you happen to have access to it in a larger size? If it is okay with you that I re-post it, would you like yourself listed as the source, or someone else? Thank you for posting it. It's a beautiful picture. About what year and place do you think it was taken?
Thank you for your time,
