Several of my family members and other volunteers are working toward posting pictures of all the tombstones in Etowah Co., Alabama. Please fill free to copy these pictures and use them for your personal research and other family history related projects. RE: Williams at Macedonia #2
Sorry for the wait, but I did not want to rely on my memory alone. I had to look the records up again. On the record it says Simon Williams, S Williams infant, Mary Williams, and S Williams infant. Neither infant had any information, but they were on each side of Mary. So I will send the other Williams child to you.

Williams
There were 2 infants posted in the old survey. Do you want the other Williams at Macedonia or do you think it was a duplicate and need to delete it. If I transfer it to you it will be near impossible for you to delete it since you did not create it. Just let me know. Thanks

Wlliams family at Macedonia in Dekalb Co. AL
Thanks for the input. I have 2x great grandparents in this cemetery and it breaks my heart every time I go up there that there are so many unknown / whitewashed stones in this cemetery. I'm not even sure that one of the military markers that has been whitewashed does not belong to my 2xgreat grandfather. I tried to enter names from an old 1960 cemetery survey, and then went around taking pictures. Was not sure which stone belongs to the infant. If you want these memorials to care for I'll be glad to send them to you since I am not related in any way. Take care and thanks again.

Ephraim Guilford LaFollette
Johnny, Thanks for the permission to use your pictures. First, a question: where did you photo Capt. Lafollette's tombstone? Then for your records, the Capt. did not die at Gadsden, he suffered a heart attack in the pilothouse of the U.S. Leota at Lock 3, Coosa River, AL. And, I was told by Jerry Jones, historian and genealogist, that was in/over the Record Dept. in the Etowah Co. Courthouse, that both the Capts. and his wife's graves are two square markers near the top of the Hughes Cem. Ken

RE: 40113183 Adelbert Gilliland
I want to Thank you for transferring Rebecca, her husband and son to me. I see that you have quite a few Gillilands among your postings. I wish you would help me keep a lookout for Adelbert, above, his birthplace and descent. I know him to issue from Alabama, but nothing more specific. He founded quite a dynasty of "Edwin Adelbert"s, starting with a son in Nashville, TN (see Adelbert's bio). Thank you for any light you can shed, and for all of your contributions to findagrave.

george w and dora holland?
You requested I transfer my great grand parents but I was the one who took the photo of their stone and their picture is also mine. I had shared it on ancestry.com. Please advise your relationship to my great grandparents or why you want to manage my memorial. Thanks

Thank you, L Mastan
