Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born & Raised in Truro, Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada...I still live close by/locally to my place of birth...PLEASE NOTE: All Profile Entitie's that I have created on here are Related to me & are in my Family Tree... Many Place Name's attached to them will just have the County of their Birth/Marriage/Death/Census. It was common, for example, the communities of Granville Ferry, Granville Beach, Granville Centre, Upper Granville, the record will just have Granville or Granville Township. Therefore, just Annapolis County will suffice. Unless more accurate information present itself to pin point the exact community...PLEASE NOTE: Any Photo's that I have taken & attached to a Profile on here, you can certainly copy & attach same to yours (our common) Ancestor's in your Family Tree or other Headstone Site that you manage. I look at this as "Our's" since we share a Common Ancestor !!! Likewise, if you wish to upload/attach a photo to a Profile Entity on here, if you do not mind, I would like to copy & attach same in my Ancestry Family Tree...PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Direct Descendant of a Profile Ancestor I created on here & wish to have management rights/editor status. I'll be happy to transfer same to you if you are interested !!!PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking for or want a photo of a Headstone that is close to me, I can, with the right information & time permitted, take a digital photo of a gravestone/headstone & send it along by e-mail or attach it to a Profile on here. Within a reasonable local distance !!!My site is I am researching/learning on my Father's Side: BUCHANAN, PURVIANCE, BROWN, PURDY, ATKINSON, TEED, JOHNSON, CHISHOLM, FISHER, GRIFFEN, STREING & STAPLESas well asMy Mother's Side: MILLER, MORSE, TROOP, BATH, ROBBLEE, GREGORY, HAWKINS, GASCOYNE, CRAMP, DURLAND, DeMOTTE, LONGLEY, CHURCH, DeLAP, BULLARD...* I have discovered thus far that I am a descendant of a Passenger from the sailing ship Mayflower, that landed the first settler's at Plymouth Rock...* I have a connection to the USA's First President: George Washington, during the "American Revolutionary War of 1776", where a relative's home was used by General Washington, as the Battle Headquarters on two occasion's at "The Battle of White Plains, New York"...* Another cousin, who became one the world's largest local shipping magnet's at the end of the age of sail & entering the steam ship era...If it turns out that we are Related, no matter how distant & have a common goal of Ancestry Research. I am easy to get along with & share information. Lets hook up by e-mail/facebook or something. That includes Politics/Religion/Differences of Opinion/Sports Teams is Put Aside. Of course, we can chid one another over something, but as long as we still respect one another in the end & still be freinds... Besides, what matters is "We Are Family" !!!There are many more to discover I am sure & thus the never ending research continue's...Cheers,Dave...

I emailed you some pix that you requested. I didn't know if you wanted them on the site.

RE: Thank-You
You are MOST welcome! Family should be "together", and we all do what we can to get that accomplished. If I find other links for you, I'll share what I find. A in CA

Helen 'Nellie' Troop {White}
Hi David. :D I've been clearing out (very) old Find-a-Grave messages this week, and came across one from you received 5/26/13. In that SAC, you provided a _ton_ of family info for Nellie, your 2C2R -- I think I probably did the links at the time, but that was that. Well, I re-visited the matter today, added the list of her children which you had sent me (pretty much everything else is there now), and transferred both Nellie and her husband's memorials to you. She's _much_ closer kin to you, than to the people in my tree who I have connected with her. And I'm only related to them by a marriage (for which I've not actually managed to connect-all-the-dots in any case ;) ). So I'm pleased to pass along stewardship for her memorial to you. I can see you'll take good care of it/them.
All the best, =]) Beth

Note that Daventry is about 15 miles SW of Coventry and in 1897 would have been a very small village. There are currently five burial sites listed for Daventry, but the largest and oldest is Holy Cross. Hope this helps.

RE: Dr Charles Hamilton Morse
I just transferred Dr. Morse's memorial to you. Sorry, but he was the only Morse that I had. Thanks for writing!

Dr Charles Hamilton Morse
Hello, David,
I got your edit suggestions for Dr. Morse. Are you related to him? Because if you are, I'd rather transfer his memorial to you so that you could edit it as you like. You seem to know something about whereas I am not related. Just let me know. I'm always happy to hand memorials that I've created over to relatives.

RE: Ref: Elijah Miller
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I am well aware of Purdy House as it is run by White Plains Historical Society of which I hope to soon be a new Trustee.
Bethia Miller was the sister of Elijah Miller who died durng the Am Rev. Her father was Anthony Miller
and his father was James Miller. That's your direct Miller line in White Plains.Then of course Gabriel and Bethia, as Loyalist, went to Nova Scotia with all their kids. Gabriel's father was Samuel Purdy.
