I am an amateur genealogist living in Houston, Texas who is merely enjoying the experience of doing a bit of family history research as an interesting hobby.|
While doing this research in cemeteries, I sometimes come across tombstones that, for one reason or another seem unique or perhaps the name is recognizable. I take a picture while I am there.
While investigating my own family history via church records that are ONLY available locally (not online) I am sure to scan an image of the document of my interest. When time allows, I review the other names (not my family) listed on those scans and try to match them up with those memorialized on findagrave. Sometimes that innocent record is the needle in a haystack that some frustrated person, far away has been attempting to locate for decades.
For those who wish for me to take a picture in a local Houston cemetery, I don't mind obliging the favor and will do so for Glenwood Cemetery ONLY because it is reasonably close to my home and enroute to some routine destinations. Those not familiar with our city do not realize how incredibly spread out and HUGE Houston is. It can take up to two hours to drive from one end of the city to the other by freeway, so I am unable to oblige photo requests for other cemeteries here.

His memorial's photo capacity is full. Would you mind to delete your photo so I can add an image of his distillery on Covington's waterfront? Thank you.

Thanks for the reminder about date and place of Pat Buckley and Mary J. Reed plus her findagrave memorial number. I have tons of info on their family--just haven't done bio yet.
If you're in Covington taking photos, would you mind to take a photo of Patrick Buckley's memorial? It was a great source of info for me as he put the dates of his parents births and deaths plus those of his children who predeceased him. None of us were certain when his parents were born nor for sure where in Ireland they came from--altho we know port they sailed from and when they landed in New Orleans.
I'm 2000 or so miles from Covington.
