Hobbies include genealogy. One of my Virtual Cemeteries has direct ancestors — if you share the same ancestors, I'm willing to share information about them. You're free to download my photos for personal use, but if you publish them in a book or online, please credit me and let me know so I can maintain bragging rights.
Elizabeth Burton and John I. Strandberg Hello GravRider, I came across the memorials that you made for Elizabeth Burton (30557082) and her husband John I. Strandberg (30557126) in Melbourne Cemetery today. Libby was my paternal grandmother's first cousin.
I'm looking to see if you are related to them. If not, would you be amenable to transferring their care to me? I would be happy to put in a formal request through the edit link. Then I can link her up with her parents and siblings and delete the "floating memorials" I had made several years ago.
If you will be keeping them, I will put in edit requests for the family links to you.
Thanks so much for making their memorials, helping me to finally locate them! Maureen #47479995
Picture of Anton Bennetson's stone Hi, Anton Bennettson and Sarah E. Bennettson are my are my great great grandparents. I see that you have the memorial. I'm trying to read the additional names on the stone that appear under Sarah's name. There are dates too. If you could help me with this it would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jen
RE: Nathaniel and Seymour The reason I ask, is that I have some Nathaniel Browns from NY in my line, and am wondering if they are somehow related. If I can prove/disprove any ties it will help me figure out which browns are related and which ones are not. What information is given on Seymour's father Nathaniel? Are his parents/ siblings given?
RE: Norman.Padgett Yes, the link I sent you is for Norman Anderson Padgett, who is not the Norman I have. You did submit an edit to add middle name, Anderson, to the memorial I have. Are you saying both have the same middle name? I am not a member of ancestry, so cannot view the obit at the link you sent. Thanks for helping with this!
Norman.Padgett Just an FYI--the Norman Padgett for whom you submitted an edit for the middle name, "Anderson," is not the right person. There are two by that name in Champaign, IL. Norman Anderson Padgett is buried in a different cemetery than the Norman Padgett whose memorial I manage. This link will take you to the obit for Norman Anderson Padgett:
RE: Carol Toadvine Thanks for the explanation on linking Carol Toadvine to her parents. I will go to the Oddville Cemetery to look for Marion and Mildred Toadvine. With Marion's daughter and parents there, I have a feeling they might be, too. The cemetery is about three miles from my home.
