It is now four years since we moved to Scotland to be near to our daughter and son in law. It is peaceful here, such beautiful countryside, and so good to be near to Susan and Jonathan. I love FAG site,people are so friendly and helpful. I am interested in the American Civil War, as well as our Civil War. Names interest me, my maiden name was CLOUT, and Mum's maiden name was RIDEOUT, both unusual! I Also I am interest in old films and stars, reading, knitting, and my garden.
It is now six years since we lost our little cat Mitzi, and I am overwhelmed by the support I have received from people on FAG. Have also added my Mum and Dad, and my Grandparents, other family members and friends which is wonderful, I can add flowers whenever I want to. I think it is so good that we can leave flowers for other people's loved ones, it is a great comfort to do this.

My thanks to all who have left flowers for my loved ones. I will always do my best to leave flowers for yours too, they all deserve our love and respect.

 | my dad died
my dad died on May 3rd...services were held on May 11th, I found out by reading about it on the 13th as I was getting ready for work and going through my hometown paper. Nobody told me he was in hospice. my sister has 1/2 his ashes and his wife the other half. I found out by calling the funeral home. I am still in a state of disbelief.
I did put a memorial down for him. the day I found out. After all , he told me about this site long ago.
He is the one that told me the memories I wrote of mom were stupid and to erase them.
He and my sister were mean spirited.
His new wife made him happy. and yet I will always wonder what I did to deserve this.
There are no "do overs" when it comes to death.

Hello Susan!!!
Tonight was the first time I had been on this site in so long. I forgot my password, then I forgot what email I used to have them send it to me. So happy to see you again. Catching up.
Still have 2 dogs and 3 cats. now that was fun driving from Kansas to Tucson in one trip!! (will never do that again) They are so happy.
