|Ella Faye Johnson||Transfer Thank You!|
How thoughtful of you! As a family we truly appreciate the time you took to walk the Westfield East cemetery. To have our own family Memorial for Wayne Lee Johnson, who was an outstanding credit to his parents and the community where he grew-up.
Answering the call to Military Service in WWII, as a Marine Pilot, Instrument Flight Instructor at Chase Naval Base in Beeville,Texas we met. I was the Home Economics teacher, we met on a blind date (after I turned him down 5 times). We married February 19, 1944.
In 1946 Westfield, WI became our home. The Johnsons' Evergreen Nursery and Florist opened to serve the community in 1947. Our greenhouses were built by Sam, Donald and Wayne Johnson from old windmill towers and redwood beer vats, a real family operation.
The loss of Wayne with a heart attack in 1971 left the family with great sadness. including management of Johnsons' Florist with two Floral shops and greenhouses to continue operating.
Later leased by Dale and Dixie Spees, in 1975 then closed in 2008.
Providing service to Marquette County for a total of 62 years.
A great legacy in remembrance of the family. Ella Faye Johnson
