Since I retired, I've found a bit of time to get back into genealogy. I think I've become addicted to FindaGrave. What a fabulous site! I enjoy setting up and maintaining memorials for my loved ones, as well as others. I also enjoy being a volunteer and taking pictures of headstones to fulfill requests! My husband has even joined in the fun!!
My photo shows what I love most -- visiting those little old almost forgotten cemeteries.
My family trees include: Sells, Winningham, Hill, Wright, Ledbetter, McDonald, Cook, Hymers, Morton, Douglas, Murphy, Clayton, Flowers, Galloway
Please remember to use the EDIT button on memorial pages to offer suggestions, corrections, and even questions regarding specific memorials. Also please remember that no one is perfect -- we all make mistakes.
Please feel free to use (for your personal non-commercial use) any headstone photos that I take and upload to FindaGrave memorials.

I got your e-mail regarding Francis Clayton. It had gone to my "spam" box.
I clicked on it and tried to move it to my inbox and somehow it disappeared.
I should have been writing things down or saved it to my flash drive before Itried to move it, but that did not happen.
Would you please re-send it? The first thing I will do is add your e-mail address to my book and also save it to my flash drive.
It was an interesting story. Did you say anything about this guy's parents?

Sounds like we both enjoy retirement and two of the same passions, helping people and learning about the past.

Researching my Clayton family the SC, TN and Mo areas.
Ran across a contact in Texas who had a 3X Great Granddad, Francis Clayton (Abt 1785- ) who was born in NC.
Since this guy is your 4X Great Granddad, I thought I would check with you to find out if you have any information on this person's ancestors?

The photos I added are at the Davidson one,Forbus, Fentress County.I think they are two different cemeteries and just have memoirals mixed up.
No, I am not related but had been family friends for many years.

Hi there! I have the Overton County Roll Call, but can't find any record in it of Robert P. Austin? Can you give me a page number where it mentions the obituary? My father is Robert M. Austin and he is 84; he wants so desperately to find where his grandfather is buried! I would appreciate any help you can offer.

I notice that you have a grave for Robert Pinkney Austin at this cemetery. Do you have any other information or a photo of a tombstone? He is my great-grandfather and we have never been certain where he was buried.

|Debra Gray Guthrie||RE: Tommie Baker|
I just got your message on my Thomas Baker. You advised that he was Robert Kimbroughs son but that is impossible as they were born in the same year. I have searched my rear off for the last several years and I always come to a dead end. The only thing left for me to do is a DNA to find my Bakers.. smiling! Let me know if you have any kind of thoughts or information. Thanks for writing! Debra Gray Guthrie
I don't think any URL will be clickable in a Find a a Grave bio.
