I am currently researching every memorial I have to find any information that can make the memorial more valuable to others. I am going in order of the Trigg County Cemetery book for Trigg County.

This research is a long on-going process. I enjoy researching my family and learning about others that I never got to know. I am only here to find my family, but spend countless hours helping others -IT IS WHAT I ENJOY DOING. If you've not stepped foot in Christian County or Trigg County, then don't assume that you know more about a cemetery.
Family names: Stewart, Turner, Goodwin, Haydon, Larkins, Atwood, Wells, Boren from the Christian County/Trigg County, KY Area.From Smith County, TN the Murray/Gibbs Family. The Murray line has led me to the Gross, Madden, Hewitt, Ferguson, Blossom, Roe and so many more names.
I am from Christian County, Kentucky. I lived in Cerulean, Gracey, and Hopkinsville my entire life until 16 years ago when I moved to Tennessee. So everyone understands my memorials I enter...I am not a NUMBERS kind of member. I am a GENEALOGY kind of member. I don't like people who are rude and numbers people. It's about OUR family history being done correct. I maintain the majority of the memorials in Robertson-Hite Cemetery in Trigg County, Ky. Kathleen Boyd transferred them all to me after I requested the Larkins to be transferred. She maintains a lot of memorials as she has taken on her husband's since he went home to be with the Lord. I will honor and maintain each memorial with the highest respect. _____________________________
When I go to a cemetery that has my family members in it, I enjoy taking pictures of the entire cemetery (time permitting). I do not have any issues with anyone taking and using my pictures of the headstones that are in your family tree. However, if I have added pics of a person, please ask before you use them. If anyone has information on any memorial that I have added,please send me a note thru the edit link on the memorial. I will be happy to update/link family members. It's about our history.....keeping everyone together for our future generations to have. _____________________________
Happy Graving! I never thought I would enjoy something so much! Be blessed folks!

I'd be very happy to put it on the memorial. I'm not related either, but I'd be happy to transfer her to you if it would make your research easier.

I understand that James Rufus was the son of David Smith's first wife Safronia Scruggs. He is my husband's great grandfather. Which sibling are you related to?

|Muriel Brooks||thank you, again!|
I took your advise and talked to Kim at the library. She did know the property and gave me the name of the owner. I spoke with him and he's going to let us photograph the cemetery. So thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
Sometime when your at Eastend maybe we could actually meet. I'd like that.
I enjoy photographing the cemeteries. I'm not from this area, I was raised in the East, so I'm not looking for family, people like me are doing that back east. I have learned so much though, each cemetery is an adventure. Maybe you can help me. There is a very old cemetery out on 68&80. It's in a field on the left heading toward the LBL from Cadiz. There's a fence around it and it's all grown up. There is also an electric fence around the field. I'm trying to locate the property owner to ask permission to photograph the stones. Do you know anything about that one?
|D. L. Casey||RE: Zinkers|
Hey thanks for the Zinker and the story. As I understand it, the Zinker's were sold by salesmen, Funeral homes, Newspapers or from Magazines. They were ordered and came un-assembled. The local Blacksmith or plumber assembled them(solderer)and the information plate about the deceased was screwed on. I bet there were a lot of things hid in them! They were considered a Cheap headstone, but have weathered the years better than the expensive real stone ones. Thanks again. Casey
0 and the information about the deceased was screwed on.

These must be 2 burials so I have taken care of it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I don't understand the conflict, the stone very clearly has the name Hyram S. on it.
