Hi! Memorial Day started me thinking about my ancestors, particularly those whom I have never met and those who fought, died, and serve(d) our country. I have always had a love of history, and, in particular, family history, some of which had some missing pieces and drama associated with it. I am very excited about sharing the lives of my loved ones whom I am now discovering, and sharing the incredible uniqueness and specialness of every life. I live in Mtn. Home, AR, with my husband and two boys, who are all beginning to have an appreciation of their roots. Paternally, my "roots" started and flourished in this country in the following states: Michigan, Virginia, Kentucky, and Indiana; maternally, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas, as well as Maryland. Thanks for this site...it is wonderful!!!
Thank you! I finally understand how to use this web site...LOL Thank you very much for visiting my family & especially my 2 sponsorships, I truly appreciate it. I will for sure add your loved ones to my daily memorial visits. I'd like to add you as a friend if that's ok. =0) Once again thank you and blessings to you & your family.
Lillie Payton Your memorials are very interesting to read. I found a memorial for a Lilie Payton in Indiana who died in 1908 and wondered if she's your grandmother's mother. The memorial number is 154780695.
Jemima Carmichael Gillham I see where you are related to Jemima. She is my step great grandmother. I have some information on the Gillham line if interested. Would like to share. Bob Hubbard arrowkeeper
You are quite welcome...glad to help. I will make inquiries and see if I can get the exact location of the McGalliards' final resting place and get pictures, may take a while so please be patient. I have created a memorial for Mark at Alta Mesa for now, pending confirmation that he is at rest there.
LCpl Barth Hi Debbie, Thank you for sponsoring his memorial. I served with Echo Co 2/3 that he served with. I didn't know him as he was there before I went. He can also be found at our Echo 2/3 website, www.echo23marines6569.org.
Though you distance cousin and he lived in MI, would you happen to know the location of his burial or anything about his family? Thanks, Tony #47235247
Ref FAG Marion Hunt Sorry I don't have any more information on Marion. I just have the info from her grave stone. You might try the Fenton Historicalhttp://fentonhistsoc.tripod.com/ society rhey may have an obit on file. You can also go to the Genesee County offices in Flint ( on Fridays I think ). They have a genealogy person working there that is vey helpful. They have copies of the death certificates for Genesee County. There are also records at the Flint library. Carl
